What if her running away or going under cover was related to that incident somehow? Don't ask me how ... the thought just struck while reading this post.

Yes now having mulled it over, I'm pretty sure the bus incident responsible for the death of Paro's parents must be connected to Rudra's mother going away too. Like Anobserver says, perhaps, that's the face Paro's mom saw just before she died!

Lovely, beautiful post!!!

The episode has left me truly speechless!! Ashish walked away with all the accolades in this episode! Ably supported by Ananya and Sanaya!

The complexities of the man! But more than that what I loved the most was his emotional outburst that showed that no amount of brutal military training or hardships on the battleground has been able to crush that beautiful heart of a child forever! He has every chance of getting healed and be normal some day in the near future! His dad anyway has told him that Paro is like gentle rain to his every burning desert that will cool down, calm down once she rains her love on him! We are now on that path! Having Rudra healed!

Thank you, Mozart! 😃
@ Healing Rudra: What amazes me is that underneath all his ruthless/rough/stony exterior is a man with a great capacity to care and love and feel. A man who respects women, and as you've said all along, is a FINE human being, in desperate need of inner healing. I don't know why the PH were worried that we wouldn't empathise with him, because we really do!!

Yes that would be amazing!!! It also makes sense because Sadiya, the actress who plays the Thakurain, has been quoted saying she only does roles with substance these days as she did with BV and other DD serials. And what better way for the role of Thakurain to have substance than as an inside informer against the Thakur.
So yes, all the points you make tie-in with this theory. 👏👏👏 She's best placed to be the informant. And may well have been the last person Paro's mother saw on the bus before her death.
The implications are enormous: Of course, there's the fact that Rudra and Paro shared the same kind of upbringing, hence the overt reference last night in Paro-Mythili-Sunehri conversation to what Paro learned from the Thakurain.
How exciting!!

Bugs and Diya, thank you for considering the possibility of the theory.

Bugs, thank you for sharing that piece of information about the actress. It would certainly fit in with her characterisation. Yes, that overt reference was possibly put in for that reason -- to underline it for us viewers. Could it be a red herring? Everyone who has known both of them have told us how his eyes remind them of hers. Paro is still to make a reference to that. I tell myself that it's too early in the story -- and their relationship is still that of a captor and a captive -- for her to venture such an observation. But, she hasn't reflected on this either. On the other hand, with so much going on, she hasn't thought much about Thakurain either. Perhaps, that cuckoo talk will rustle some twigs.

Now, I cannot fathom how the aunt -- of course, I take her utterances with a pinch of salt -- could categorise her sister and his mother as someone not interested in household chores. The memories that Rudra had of her showed her as a loving mother and wife to an already crippled Dilsher.

I am also wondering if Rudra's mother and Mohini were step-sisters. Apart from the lack of love on Mohini's part, do you recall the emphasis placed by Danveer when he identified Rudra to the workers as the son of his real (saga) brother. Why the emphasis?
