I was watching videos of songs from 2004/05 and listening to Ek main aur ek tu hai from Bluffmaster and Dus Bahane from Dus made me think of the time I was at school in Delhi. Abhishek was very popular back then and was counted among the top actors at one point, at least going by the opinions of people I knew. I remember a cover story in India Today in which the interviewer wrote about how Abhishek had become very very popular and girls were crazy about him, that he had had multiples hits, etc.

So what happened suddenly? I remember that post Raavan everything went downhilll. Was it just a poor choice of films? It's quite a contrast- to see people raving about him at that time and slating him on here these days!

I dont remember, but season one of kwk, him and hrithik were the "ranbir or imran, who has a brighter future " and most people thought he would.
I guess it's just because he is pretty carefree and not as serious about acting. And also, no matter how famous he gets, he will always be in his fathers shadow.
