Also, yes Salman's popularity is bigger than SRK at this point. (it always wasn't the case) But I wouldn't say that big, coz SRK does really well himself in India. But I think there's an insane amount of difference between their standings globally. And SRK has enjoyed that standing all through his career.

And when I talk of stardom and popularity, I include so many things. Books, documentaries, awards, festivals, foreign media, the list goes on.

One more thing I wanted to say before I sign off from this ridiculous thread...is that Salman's BB's in the last 3 years had a major contribution from the MASALA genre...Masala sells like hotcakes these days...SRK was doing varied genres...Romance doesn't sell as good as the masala genre...SRK did one masala as in CE...and look what it made...Salman tried one non-masala Jai Ho...a movie with a message...look what it did...Aamir did D3 ...280 crores...so a lot of credit goes to the genre too...not trying to undermine Salman's starpower but its a fact that nothing sells like masala...we will see how the SB movie does??
