Well yes, overseas is bigger than India, but domestic collections matter more than overseas, don't they? JTHJ was a hit in India, but a blockbuster overseas, yet do people call JTHJ a BB?It's proven that Salman is more popular and his stardom has a bigger reach in India as of now. I was just clarifying in case people get the wrong innuendo from your post.
I'm sorry I wouldn't know anything about what collections matter more. lol no idea at all.😆 But I think you're right about the domestic having more of an impact.
Just like you I was just trying to clarify that Salman may more popular in India now, but SRK is an international star. I mean, just yesterday, BBC America was showing a two-part documentary of Indian cinema (talking about topics like mainstream vs offbeat cinema, whether bollywood's potrayal of item numbers is slightly responsible for the increase of sexual violence in India and the importance of regional films) and SRK was their main point of reference throughout the documentary. They featured Jai Ho sometimes, but didn't refer to Salman. They showed Dhoom 3 a lot, called Aamir a Bollywood megastar. SRK was called the world's biggest movie star in terms of how many people recognize his face and know his work.
