Contradictory Message?

Honestly, I was not a fan of the show when it first started

However, after watching a few epi and living through the everlasting "Sugary Sharda Speeches" ..its not a bad show but it does have some issues.

For me the Raj Simran touch is creative and cute

The guy who plays Karan has a striking resemblance to a young (late)Rakesh Khanna

The one thing I don't like/understand is Sakshi is an educated girl..why is show stuck at home doing chores and not working? like Latika?

The show portrays Latika as an uncaring wife and mother cause she works for her dad's business

Find it totally wrong and unrealistic..many women balance careers, and home life.

The show is basically showing a contradictory message

Educate yourself, but only enough to manage a household and talk properly with your husband's guests...the show reinforces that a woman's place after marriage is at home

that aspect of the show bothers me.

Her character is shown tat way!! It is written that way!!
If everything was perfect in the show , what would they show in the serial later on?

It shows Latika as uncaring because she is not being able to balance out her family time with work have u seen a time when Latika hasn't come to the Modi house? Okay, let's say she's busy. But even in holidays she doesn't spend time with her family. First of all I don't think Latika is all tht bad. She just needs to know how to balance out her time and spend some quality family time. And most of all, she does not respect her mom.

And why Sakshi is home? I don't know. I don't think even before marriage she was working either. It's her choice if she wants to work. Maybe she wants everything to settle down and. Sharda to study before she works. Or she is not gonna work. They can't make everything perfect at first.even if the main character is perfect, it's no fun.
I respect your POV. Srry if I hurt anyone

To be honest, I don't think there is anything wrong with a girl wanting to take care of the household after marriage. For me it's only an issue if the girl is forced to stay at home against her will. And as far as we have seen, Sakshi is happy with it.

And education never goes to waste (IMO) Whatever Sakshi has learnt, in a way she is sharing that with her mother in law, Sharda.

Well they never really showed what Sakshi wanted?

She just came into the household and now is Sharda's teacher

No there is nothing wrong with showing a woman wanting to be a housewife

But there is a problem when that is shown as the only successful role of a woman

women do work and manage household...I hope they use Latika later on to drive that point home.

Wanting to show something realistic does not mean the characters have to be perfect..not sure where that thinking that comes from

No one in Sharda's family respects ...that is her husbands fault..children take queues from their parents
