I've had enough of discussion on this topic already.
For me Baldev's reactions were very much justified.
Even my brother wld have done the same thing if I were at Gunjan's place!
Or its not just abt an elder bro but even an elder sister wld have done the same thing!
And knowing how much hot-tempered and possessive person he is we werent expecting him to handle Gunjan calmly!
And abt Gunjan...well she's the most innocent girl ever!! So no more comments on her! 😳

i dont have elder brother but i have elder sister. and i am 100% sure if i went meet someone in the night this way, i will also get slapped

He was wrong on raising his hand, but his actions were perfectly justified. He's a Pind guy and honestly coming from a traditional family my own brother would have killed me right there. Baldev toh anger mein haat utha raha tha!

Baldev is not wrong exactly..i mean he is her elder brother and in India, mostly in rural places, an elder bro is equivalent to father almost...so he did just what any dad or bro would do in such situation...
and i feel he behaved sensibly, because he only threatened Ranvi, didn't assault him or anything...lol

I absolutely agree with you, though the slap part came as an initial shock to me. But later I felt he did it in a fit of rage. He did not try hitting her after Ranvi stopped him or back at home. He sort of came back to his senses. But still I dont not justify the slap yet I absolutely adored the protective brother in him. His anger was completely justified.
Some desperate people are hell bent upon comparing Gunjan with Baldev to glorify her poisonous acts and put him down. Well Baldev is way ahead of Gunjan in terms of being a better person and there is no comparison between both. Atleast he does not cheat on people appearing to be good on the outside and does not interfere in other's personal relationships. He is a baddie with a good heart. I accept it and I am happy that way. I hope people stop comparing a gray shaded hero with a character that is turning completely black.

IMO, Baldev did what any other brother in a village would have done ... He was shocked and angry at her sister as she had lied and was with a boy at night.. He raised his hand in the spur of the moment .. But he didnot do it again which is enough proof of the fact that he understood his folly !

i m not gunjan fan but i again say baldev doesnot fullfill his bro duty he has no right on gunjan to stop what she is doing .
what ever u metion that baldev did for gunjan its for his own selfish reason .
he is not good bro n never support for his interference i gunjan life

I always believe that boys n girls are equal.
Thus, I disagree with the fact that Gunjan being a girl shouldn't have been slaped by her OWN BROTHER even when she is wrong...absolutely wrong

Because a human being should always be reminded about their limits...This is necessary for their own well being...be it a girl or a boy.
