Sharon Raiprakash-THEN and NOW.
Our very first post in this forum regarding the show, for some strange reason we had this urge to create a topic here and so here we are :).
Note : This about the fictional CHARACTER- Sharon Raiprakash and not about the actresses playing them. So refrain from using their names..it's a genuine request to everyone. 😃
Sharon Raiprakash is one of the most different character ever crafted in the Indian Television. She believed in only one thing that is being a DIVA, in every sense, right form her clothes to her attitude. She wanted perfection and wouldn't except anything less than that. No one dared to question her. She demanded and it was fulfilled. As a famous D3 dialogue - her way or the high way!.
Yet as the show crossed some months, we got to know that under the shield of the Diva, there lies a girl who has feelings, who has a heart. But Sharon being Sharon wouldn't showcase it. The very instance when Swayam stood up to her in the auditorium and offered to dance- she was taken aback, the consequence? She slapped him. Again when he joined her rivals she found it her birth responsibility to insult and degrade his image. When she found out that her secret admirer was none other than Swayam-she hated it..why? Because she misunderstood his act, she thought he referred to her as a materialistic person, the consequence? She closed the book of their love story and pushed him further away. Sharon left no stones unturned to throw him out of her life. But that does not mean she didn't feel anything, she did; but letting her guards down in front of him and accepting or reciprocating the love, wasn't something Sharon was used, this was new to her and it scared the shit out of her.
It's not wrong if someone says she has come a long way and so she has changed. True that, but how, how on earth could someone behave SO differently?. She behaved like a women with grace, attitude and intelligence and now she looks nothing but stupid!.
Sharon publicly refused Swayam's love and their relation- very Sharon like. As I had said being in a relationship and all that was okay. But being together in public with someone and showcasing her love, was new to her. And again it scared her. Accepted. And she does everything to woo back Swayam- again Accepted. But why going overboard?. Swayam is hurt and doesn't believe her. Its natural but why no personal point of view?. How even after Sharon does the most foolish stuff like co-operating with Alok not affect him? We do not by any means want a melodramatic showdown but why no personal thought over it?. It's high time we get to know about Swayam's feelings. And again Sharon is determined to get her love back and we do know CVs she's a diva at heart and does everything according to her wish but Alok fiasco is a little overdone. Why only after something horrible happens or Swayam/ Rey knocks some sense into her, she realises her mistake?. If Sharon has grown as a person shouldn't she understand all this too?. Just because she has a tag of diva doesn't really mean that in very freaking scene she has to behave in this cold, obnoxious and strange way.
Today Sharon is SO different that it's not only hard to understand her but it feels like watching different character all together!. And somewhere down the line our interest in one of the most enigmatic character ever, is lost.
