CHAPTER-6.
Baldev inhaled a long breath trying to steady himself ,and his suddenly aroused and still heating up body..
He knew he had to turn away and leave,but somehow his limbs seemed to be paralysed,while at the same time his eyes stayed stuck in her,as she dried her long wet hair,and then swung the wet heavy locks to one side..
Tiny drolplets of water fell n his face,and a drop among them fell on his full bottom lip,making it tingle..
But still Baldev did not blink,or move..He just wanted to keep this image of her framed in his mind forever,or atleast till..
Suddenly she looked up,and a soft gasp escaped her lips,as she stared wide eyed at Baldev..Something struck at his heart,and he took a step towards her..
She did not move back,or look away,as e slowly walked towards her..
The only movement among both was that they both dropped the towels and clothes from their respective hands onto the bathroom floor..
Their harsh breathing was the only sound in that enclosed space,as Baldev moved closer to her..
Veera did not move even when he stood just in front of her..Their bodies almost touching..Nor did she protest when his arms went round her waist,and pulled her soft wet scented body hard up against his..
A soft agsp escaped her lips,but still she did not move away,as her handhold onto the front of his sherwani..
Looking deep into her eyes,that reflected the fire and hunger in his,he raised his hand,and slowly loved it to caress her creamy white throat and then moved it onto her exposed shoulder..
A slight shiver passed through her body ever so slightly,that heated up his blood..He could feel the goosebumps on her yet damp naked skin,as he moved his fingers across them again and again and again and again,feeling and revelling at its soft and smooth texture..
Her breathing got louder,his heart raced..Her eyes closed,his looked into her face more hungrily..Her soft body melted in his arms,his body hardened still..
He lowered his head,and his lips touched her creamy exposed shoulder..
Another shiver shook her slight curvaceous frame,but this one stronger..
Baldev's lips moved along her soft shoulder kissing on evry bit of soft scented skin,he could reach..His lips moved close to her cleavage,and licked slightly at the gap,where a droplet of water sat..Her nails dug into his chest,making him hotter than ever..
He moved his lips,up her throat,as both his hands caressed her soft body..
One hand caressed her shoulder and back,while the other moved to touch the soft skin of her thigh..His heart ,body and mind delighted at being able to touch and taste so much of her soft scented skin,that he had never ever done before..
For him it was the luckiest day of his life,until..
Until her soft voice reached his ears..
He was now kissing his way to her lips..
"I thought you hate me Baldev..Is this how you treat every person you hate so much..?"Her soft words had the desired effect,and stunned him to stillness..
Out of breath,he stood still until she pulled herself free from his hold,her hand holding onto the towel,ensuring that it did not fall off..
"At least be true to yourself Baldev.."She said softly in a cold voice,her eyes glittering with rage..
With these words she left the bathroom,closing the door with a loud thud..
A frustrated and stunned Baldev was left alone to fight his need and desire,with the only option of cooling his hard aroused throbbing body with a cold shower..
After a long tired day,of her and Baldev both trying to avoid each other,despite being forced together by relatives,and guests who had come to visit the newly-weds ,Veera finally entered her new bedroom..
Quickly closing the door,she let out a sigh of relief..
It was time to sleep,but thankfully Baldev in his attempt to stay away from her was still away from the house..
She walked to her suitcase and took out her best friend..Slowly she flipped it open,and started writing in it again..
Dear diary,
I had told you it had all started with a phone call..But now I'll tell you how..
It had been one of those warm nights of summer,and suddenly my phone started ringing..
I did not recognise the number but on receiving the call I got the biggest shock of my life..I was quite astonished to find it was Baldev..That was the first time he had ever called me..
There was something different about his voice..Something that gave me an odd twist in the stomach,you know a queasy kind of feeling,but I felt excited too..
For the first time in my life after Karan's betrayal I felt alive,dear diary.
He asked me to meet him..In an odd gruff voice,as I knew that he was not an emotional type of guy,but that day his voice had some strange quality..
Then I decided to agree with him for once in my life..I agreed to see him right then..
I could tell he was shocked as it was almost midnight,and I had readily agreed to see him..My childhood foe without hesitation..
I met him..He was quiet at first,when I stood by him,just beside his jeep..
Then he asked me to get in the jeep..
And I did..
He took me for a ride to-..
"VEERA!!!"The sound of Bansuri,her mother-in-law's voice calling her ,made her flip her diary close..
Locking it up back in her suitcase,she ran down the stairs..
Somewhere outside behind a dark bush two shadows kept a look at Balwant Singh's house..
Their eyes alert at Baldev Singh's bedroom window..
Baldev sat at the tea-stall with his friends,and suddenly a phone call made him look at it,and jump up..
His friend Balli,poked his other friend Jaggi,and winked with a knowing smile..
"Parjaiji ki phone hai lagta hai..Praji to aab daura bhaga ghar jayega!
[It seems it's sister-in-law'call..Praji will now run back to his home!"They snickered among themselves..
Baldev turned and gave them a mock angry look,to cover up his embarrassment and sadness,at the same time..How he wished the reality was so simple,he shook his head to himself and quickly bidding them adieu,got into his jeep..
She had called,he could not make her wait..
Quickly he drove towards their usual meeting place,near the forest..
