Sexual Crimes are not a Joke.

To anyone who is reading this,

Lets side aside the ridiculous, redundant and pathetic storyline for the time being and talk of a very serious issue that so casually dismissed by the show runners; Sharon being a victim of sexual assault.

Rape, or any form of sexual harassment, is not a joke. Its not a skit that can be introduced into the storyline just to stir the pot or achieve means to an end. I think it's safe to say that D3 has a massive youth following, majority of which reside in India, a country where a person is raped every 20 minutes. Suppose a person who has been through a sexually traumatic experience were to watch the episode (in India or elsewhere), what kind of impact would it have on him/her and more importantly what would he/she absorb from it? That their experience wasn't a "big deal" or could be used as a bargaining chip? That one should standby and record the event instead of rushing to aid immediately? It was disgusting, insensitive and even immoral on the writers part. And I can't even begin to vent out my frustration and anger on how the event wasn't reported and rather used as a leverage. So now another filthy rapist is on the loose ready to victimize someone else but you have your camera so everything is okay. W*F. SERIOUSLY W*F. (So many more problems with this depiction but I don't have much time)

To anyone claiming that the writers didn't intentionally depict such a scenario I say keep your bullshit to yourself before I punch you in the gut. The show writers are liable for everything they put out, its their responsibility to screen everything they shoot carefully, specially since the show is targeted towards a younger demographic. They HAVE to understand that everything that airs is going to have an influence, even if it's just on a singular being.

I don't know if this (dragging social issues through the dirt) is a regularity on the show now, this was the first episode I watched in ages and from the content I suppose my last one for a while. But a kind request to the Creatives, Writers, Directors and even Actors on the show, please be aware of what you create, write, direct or enact. Once again such issues aren't to be handled lightly and being people who have the means and the audience, you should choose to highlight and raise concern for these problem and not employ them to further your plots.

A highly disappointed human.

A well-written post and one I absolutely agree with.
I just watched the episode right now after reading the dozens of angry posts made earlier in the day by irate SS fans. My initial reaction was: What the hell did I just watch?!

So Alok sexually harasses Sharon and Swayam is there to witness the whole thing but does nothing to prevent it and decides recording the crime is more important than actually trying to stop it from happening? And there's a possibility that this ever so important evidence won't even be used to hold the criminal accountable for his actions and prevent similar situations in the future?

What exactly is this supposed to teach the youth, the highly impressionable demographic that this show is aimed at? And if the creatives or the channel don't think TV is a medium that can seriously influence its audience, they need to get their heads checked. If you can't handle a serious topic like sexual harassment with a certain level of sensitivity and concern, then don't bring it into your show to further your horribly failed plot. Though how much furthering was actually accomplished here, I can't even begin to say.

And another thing: you decide to end the scene by Swayam offering a tepid amount of concern for Sharon's well-being and Sharon acting as if nothing had just happened to her and worrying about Rey-Kriya?

I thought I could not be more disgusted with the downhill trajectory this show has taken, but no, you have really taken the cake this time, D3.

So do Ameeta D and Channel V wants to say that a woman should willingly risk her safety and the man should willingly allow that happen???😲😡 with all this shit FILMING shit aren't they trying to also say that Alok like guys should be prevented from getting punished by just mere blackmailing...THIS is COWARDLINESS.. Isnt it such a shame.

I have seen other serials writing episodes on eve teasing and woman harrassment recently but they have generated a STRONG MESSAGE against woman sexual harassment and molestation...this is absolutely disgusting how wrongfully D3 cvs have written such a serious issue. And a swayam like guy wouldnt want to do such things..I am terribly hurt with this
All this is for a camera..ROFL...isnt it a way to hide the cheap tactics of alok like guys... and how would the whole crap will be used anyways...it will be thrown aside
Swayam and Sharon who represent todays youth are shown as cowards and as encouraging cheap acts by jerks like alok... such acts must be reported to crime authorites..werent swaron suppose to do that first
DISGUSTING. Ameeta D you are horrible and Channel V its shame how you approved such WRONGFUL CRAP. Being a woman how could she write such disgusting stuff. ITS NOT ACCEPTABLE and NOT TOLERABLE
All this is just for drama and in all this they have forgotten basic human values and how a woman should be respected.

Ameeta Maam has zero knowledge about a girl's safety. I guess she is completely oblivious to the fact so as to whats happening in India. 1st was when she showed Kria getting up with anyone on a bike. A complete random stranger. D3s viewership ranges from 12 years and even below that perhaps. Who are juniors completely. And what lesson they r getting. Kahin jana hoto kisi bhi random admi se left lelo? Ameeta Maam do you really understand the consequences if anyone even 1 person gets inspired from this? About Sharon today. Im feeling nauseated with just reading what was shown. Where me and my friends face eve teasing and sexual abuse every other day in buses, autos while walking down a deserted lane, while leaving from the house my parents leave me with a prayer for my safety, call me a twenty times about my whereabouts, where people now go around buying peppersprays to protect themselves, they make such a sensitive issue as this a joke for the sake of some story? Sick act by CVs and Channel.
