Today was the day I was waiting for when Jalal accepted his feelings for Jodha. What could be more positive then that.
After limping slowly with filler episodes, the CVs are running at rapid speed to close out multiple things. I wish they had given more screenspace to Jalal realizing his feelings for Jodha as it was mindblowing- but that is just me being greedy. 😊
The positives are getting easier and easier to find (thank you CVs); here is my take for the top 5 things I liked about today's episode:
1. At number 1, beyond doubt is, Jalal realizing and acknowledging his feelings for Jodha. What a beautiful place to say it it in the serene dharga and in such an emphatic manner that "I cannot live without her." What is a better way to profess love? How long we were waiting for such a realization and I am pinching myself that it happened. Now, we just need him to tell Jodha. Loved the flashback scenes and the fact that that Night was included highlights how much that night means to him. Rajat rocked this performance. 👏
One side note here: I know there are comparisons between how worried Jalal was for Ruqs va. Jodha and there is always a close fight between best friend and lover. It is hard to fight this battle. I am glad Jalal was concerned about Ruqs. However, i am hoping where we see the difference is in Jalal's reaction when Jodha is saved Jalal's reaction will be much stronger with Jodha as he has had time to realize how much Jodha means to him.
2. Jalal is recovering his brains. First, he admitted how he was blinded by his zid and risked Jodha's life. Also, as I has hoped, Jalal remembers how Zakira had survived and finds the antidote. Phew, even in his emotional state, Jalal has recovered his brains. But, he always does, when it comes to saving Jodha. 😆
3. The precap scene was great with Jalal in front of Krishna and praying. As with the many parallels with the tiger fiasco, I believe Hamida Bano had observed Jodha praying to the Quran around that time and now Hamida Bano is watching Jalal. I am glad Hamida Bano is watching only because these love birds will need translators on what these emotions during this time mean - I am sure Hamida Bano will either describe this scene to Jodha to show Jalal's feelings for her or force Jalal to express his feelings outwardly. How much help our love birds need! 😉
4. Ruqs redeems herself as she is now worried about Jodha and saving her. Ruqs is like a pendulum swinging to extremes when it comes to Jodha. For as long as it lasts, I like this change in her. How I would love it if the CVs cancel the jealousy track for Ruqs and make her move aside for Jalal to find his true love. Can't Mirza Hakim's mom be the next vamp instead of Ruqs? How I wish! 😊
5. No more Ben- she is forever in the well as some folks in the forum had predicted. For a change, I was happy Ruqs took an executive decision to kill her right away instead of arresting her alive. Ekta Kapoor doesn't believe in showing ghosts in her serials does she? Imagine Ben haunting to fort of Agra. 😲
I excitedly sign off that we finally saw the love that an epic love story is made off! It is up to the CVs to make sure it continues.
