Katrina Kaif the Only Bollywood heroine to make it to Forbes list
Apart from topping several popularity charts this year, KatrinaKaif, Bollywood's lucky mascot has found herself in the top 10 Indian power players to make it to the annual Forbes list, thanks to her popularity and endorsements.
While the Forbes India Rich List focuses on net worth, the Celebrity 100 list is arrived at by measuring earnings estimates and the fame quotient.
Joining the likes of Shahrukh Khan, Mahindra Singh Dhoni, Salman Khan, Sachin Tendulkar and Amitabh Bachchan to name a few, Katrina is the only woman to make it to the Top 10 rankings, which includes estimated entertainment related earnings and how visible they are on print, television and internet (including social media).
The entire process was verified by Ernst & Young, the official tabulators for Forbes.
The 2009 terrorism drama New York marked a turning point in her career, earning her praise as well as a Filmfare Best Actress nomination.
She subsequently featured in more prominent roles in hit films like Raajneeti (2010), Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011) and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan (2011) and Ek Tha Tiger (2012).
She has also featured in the action thriller Dhoom 3 (2013), which emerged as the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics for her acting prowess, she has established herself as a commercially successful actress of Hindi cinema.
