😳 I agree...anyone can be patriotic

i think patriotism is about doing something.. im not an idealist and i dont have high hopes or idealist views for the future.. i think we should concentrate on the present for a country to succeed.. personally i believe that patriotism is when you recognise your country..

for example many people i know have come from india and become french residents..which pisses me off because if youre indian youre indian and no one can change it.. to be patritotic you dont have to build a dam for your country or be a scientist or make a new five year plan.. its the emotion which counts.. if you wear a flag on independence day just because you love your country and not because everyone else is doing so.. youre patriotic..

patriotism could be on different levels.. its about doing something..a small indication that no matter wherever you are, no matter however big or small your country is., or no matter how rich or poor it is, you will always be there for your country and you will always stand up to them.. its about standing up to your friends if they think you come from a "bakwaas" country.. patriotism is all about doing small things for your country. its about answering "i love my country, no matter what" when someone states "you come from such a poor country".. its all about being proud of its every achievement and saying "see.. that country india.. i belong to it".. its about promoting how your country is.. its all about making it unique to the rest of the world..


but mostly i think patriotism is about trusting that your country is always the best.. you dont have to put your country in front of your own needs.. you dont necessarily have to sacrifice for your country.. at the end of the day its all about saluting the tricolor saying "i love you india".. at the end of the day when you're in deathbed your death certificate should say you were indian.. thats what patriotism is all about..
