Today's character
Yahhan bhi Aman - Aman sa !
Aman Aman Aman --- what a flub you were today... This is not how you tail a person ...walk in front of a light source and throw a large shadow so that your target knows? NO NO!
Reveal the whole plan to the target - NO NO!!
If the CVs had chosen me as Aman ... here is my rule book for stalking and I would have followed it to the T ...
Who Should Attempt Surveillance?
You can follow and observe someone you know, but to do so you must take extreme cautions. If the target is known to you, you might be better off to hire a trained PI, or recruit a friend or two to do the surveillance for you.
1. I would not have followed Paro... she recognized me and Rudra immediately😡. Another BSD officer should have been used. ...
2. A female is nowhere near as obtrusive as a male. Obviously she's waiting for her husband. Maybe we could have used Laila? 😃Rudra says Laila was not working today...hmmm... he does keep close tabs on her!😆
3. OK ... all BSD lofficers were missing or killed ( we know who is responsible for that😃 !!) ... so guess it was left to Rudra and me.
Plan Ahead
Gather all information about the target's habits and haunts before you attempt surveillance. Know the neighborhood you'll be working. Plan possible routes your target might take. Keep the base covered too ( very very important)
4. Would have covered Siv ji and all the assorted Gods ( Jai Jagadambe Trisula ) that Paro prays to one person at each place ( hmm... Again shortage of manpower😡)
5. I would have left one person at base ( not an unwilling babu-sa with a crutch😡)! Babu sa would have had a phone 😆
6. Would have staked out all hiding places close to mami sa's house - under the haystacks hi sahi!!😆
Research
Research the subject. Never underestimate a beautiful woman ( Rudra should know that right 😉) Paro looks quiet... Still waters run deep!!
1. Paro is resourceful - she can embroider and she can turn a sewing machine into an all purpose zucchini cutter... and she can stand up to Rudra ( hmmm... Rudra does seem soft around her).😃
2. Paro wants to party
3. Paro wants to dance
Oops ( wrong subject)😕
Resourceful subjects are dangerous...Never under estimate the power of the tailed one ...or her intelligence ( just because she fell for khana and gaana does not mean she is stupid...)😳
Disguise
- Wear comfortable clothing that will blend in, clothes the target will not recognise. No rudrakshas please😡!! I would have told Rudra not to wear them!! Dead give away it is!
Take along a couple of changes of clothes to fit in where your subject might be going.
Blankets are not enough , mooch , sunglasses are needed !!🥱
Tailing
Be absolutely sure you are following the right person and the correct vehicle.
- Right person - wrong vehicle
I would not have used public transport... What's that motorbike for ... and I am already in Birpur!!😆
In a vehicle, you can position yourself behind, ahead of, or parallel to the subject.
Hmmm... Rudra was behind Paro ( literally!)😛
Of course the lights make it more difficult...
Never sprint across a light source... they cast great big shadows ...😡
Never let stones fall... if you do , be prepared to imitate one of the following
1. A cat
2. A dog
3. A peacock or any animal native to that region!
I do a peacock call well...hmmm... does that sound like something starting with R?🥱
Tailing Tips
- Don't start following the moment your target starts moving.
- Keep your distance.
- Hmm... I am but is Rudra ? I would have cautioned him to keep his distance from Paro😃
- Memorize what your target is wearing. This is especially helpful when following on foot, .
- She was wearing bangles that clink , payals that clink , I would have known the moment these stopped making nose!
- On a foot tail through a busy street, stay on the same side of the street. In less crowded areas, walk on the opposite side of the street; keep pace with your target, at least 100 feet back.
- Of course I wouldn't have sprinted like a chicken across the road ( why did it cross the road anyway?)😡
When your target turns a corner, speed up and stop before reaching that corner. Get out - or have your partner get out...
I would not have stuck together at the corner so that the subject can see you in her lehnga's microscopic mirror (what's this with mirrors... Rudra seems to like them too!)😡😃
Last but not the least
Never reveal your plan in public where it could have fallen on a thousand ears .. the subject may be hidden in a strategic position and can hear it ( satyanaash ... No soaps without people hearing the wrong things)...😕
So CVs ... how does this rule book look... and how did I perform...?
Oops... Was looking at this and lost Paro...Rudra... do you know where she is?
And looks like we lost Paro because of Rudra and not Aman right?😆
