Just had gone through the 'Which TV actress make it big into bollywood thread'.

LOL Why so much hatred for TV stars? Just cuz they belong to TV doesnt mean they cant act and are OTT .. There are many TV actors/actresses who are far far better than expressionless BW actors like Katrina, Imran,, Alia, and many more !!

Not a fan of any of those actresses listed there but why so much SI/DD bashing?? Just cuz they are popular?

And I saw someone saying Sanaya cant do in BW cuz she has baby looks LOL have you seen Alia? looks like 5 grade girl but she made it then why cant those who work hard day and night

For me TV stars hold a lot more respect than these BW stars because they start their journey from a nobody and make it big ON THEIR OWN not like some star kids, star sisters, brothers, neice,nephew or whatsoever.. or some foreigner brought to india by some famous Khan!

All I think what is needed for the others to make it into BW is Luck!! I dont at all think that if luck wasnt there actors like Katrina,Imran, Vidya, Sushant Singh.. Yes they have the talent(not Katrina nd imran -_- ) and so do many TV actors but luck too favoured them a LOTT!!

I agree. I don't understand why BW members are so ignorant of em. Nobody gets a free pass to BW --- one needs to go thru a lot of grooming first and I'm sure our Telly actors can do a decent job. Hating is one thing but can't ignore the fact, most telly actors are doing a fine job than ... what we have in BW right now --- better than some of the faces we get to see on big screen. 😆

Give TV actresses the type of stylists, PR agents and managers that these star kids get even before their launch, fir dekho. It is commendable how much these actresses are able to achieve without any backing or contacts, coming from small towns with hardly much financial backing and making a name for themselves.

I'm in no way an Alia Bhatt fan but I'd just like to say it's kinda unfair to already say she can't act I mean she was meant to played an air-headed bimbo in SOTY, IDK give her a chance in Highway I s'pose, she may well surprise us all 😆

Agree with the rest though, those Telly ladies are damn talented! And yes I've noticed the popular ones get bashed the most lol. About Sanaya - some people are so contradictory when it comes to commenting on her, they say she's too old (30+) for BW and at the same time say she has a baby face 😆 Anyway, point is she's a great actress.

And yep, luck and the determination to make it are definitely huge factors that come into play!

maybe 😆 will see her performance in few more movies but her perf in SOTY dint impress me at all .. but she does look like a 5th grade student 😆

BW actors are definitely great. Some are hella talented. But see there are two types of actors in telly. Underrated and super overrated. Sanaya,gurmeet, drashti, barun falls in the category of overrated. Actors like vrinda dawda, surbhi jyothi, pari sharma, rajat tokas, shantanu maheshwari, etc have real and natural talent but most of you guys won't even know who they are.sometimes i think telly is a smaller but much more intense manifestation of bw. There are the talented and there are the untalented too.

I think its a matter of giving them a good chance, like sushant has been given the right opportunity to be in a good film like kai po che which left a positive impression of him from the industry and audience.

Many tv stars get small roles in bad movies and so end up doing one or two movies and then going back to tv.

At the moment all these star kids are being given the best roles and movies, leaving little space for tv stars.

its not a matter who are underrated and who are overrated..according to one person ,one actor is overrated but the same actor is underrated for the other person.its a matter that here in this forum TV actors are considered as b-grade c-grade or what not?they struggle a lot .they also deserve respect.and most of them are also talented like BW actors and some are even better than them but they are not lucky like BW actors.bt here if some one compare a tv actor to BW one.or if someone praise them.they get a title of Fangirl in return..in short i think BW dont humiliate tv actors that much.they should have the same behaviour with TV actors as they have with BW actors/.
