Part 7

Arnav jumped into the ocean and quickly swam up to Khushi who was on the verge of drowning.He held her tightly against his chest.Arnav swam as fast as he could to get them out of the water.He gasped as he pulled her on land "Khushi" he called out to her,shaking her.She didn't open her eyes.Arnav pulled her in his arms and shook her "Khushi" he called out again desperate.His heart felt like it was sinking "Khushi wake up..you have to" he commanded.Arnav felt her pulse and it was slow.He panicked.Arnav pressed his mouth to hers,trying to push air into her.After what seemed like hours,he pulled back and shook Khushi but she didn't open her eyes.Arnav held Khushi to himself and felt even more desperate.He pressed his mouth to hers again and repeated his steps.He felt his heart come alive when he felt her lips move against his.He pulled back and stared at Khushi.Khushi coughed up some water before finally fluttering open her eyes.Arnav pulled Khushi in his embrace and hugged her very tightly "Never do that again Khushi...you scared me so much.I thought you left me" his arms tightened around her "I felt my heart beat stop when I saw you in the ocean...I love you..I love you so much" he admitted.

Khushi gave a small moan before closing her eyes "Me..too" she whispered.

Arnav picked Khushi in his arms and took her to their room.He lay her on the bed and sat next to her.He examined her features and held her hand in a tight grip.She had him so scared,he hadn't even been that scared when his parents had died.Arnav lay next to Khushi on the bed and pulled her towards him.He wrapped his arms around her tightly.Closing his eyes,he fell asleep.

It was early in the morning at 5 AM.Khushi gave a small moan as she slowly opened her eyes.Her eyes met a shirt.She scrunched her eyes in confusion and looked up.She gasped seeing Arnav so close to her.If she moved an inch towards him,her lips would touch his.Khushi tried to move back but was pulled back where she started.She felt Arnav's arms tighten around her.She looked up at him,expecting him to be awake but he was still asleep.He looked really adorable asleep.Khushi gave a small smile and caressed his cheek.Arnav stirred a bit and Khushi stopped.She tried to move back again but was pulled back into his arms "Don't" Arnav muttered against her hair.Khushi gave up and fell back asleep.

It was 8 AM.This time,Arnav was the first to awake.He looked at Khushi in his arms,asleep and smiled.He glanced at the time and knew they had to leave soon.Arnav picked Khushi in his arms as gently as he could and took her to the receptionist.He checked out.Hailing a taxi,they went back home "Oh Arnav" called out Naina "I was so worried for you and Khushi" Arnav gestured her to be quiet while motioning to Khushi.Naina nodded and left.Arnav took Khushi to their room and lay her on the bed.He caressed her smooth cheek with his thumb and kissed her forehead "I love you" he whispered.Khushi gave a small smile in her sleep,as if she heard what he said.

It was 10 AM.Khushi finally awoke and was shocked to see her room.She thought she was still in the hotel with Arnav "Good morning princess"

Khushi turned around and gasped when she was pulled down.She was shocked to see Arnav a few inches away from her.Arnav pulled her closer and brushed his lips against hers.Khushi shut her eyes,a bit confused and shy.Arnav placed a kiss on her lips.Khushi opened her eyes and pulled back.She sat up on the bed "A-Arnav?"

Arnav sat up with her and leaned towards her "You look so beautiful Khushi"

Khushi bunched the sheets and stared at Arnav with a small hint of pink touching her cheeks "A-Arnav..what's g-going o-on?"

Arnav gently pushed Khushi,making her lay on the bed and hovered over her "Nothing...I just want to tell you that you are the most beautiful girl I have ever met"

Arnav placed a soft kiss on her cheek "Because you deserve to know..now stop asking so many questions and answer mine...why were you in the ocean last night?" Arnav knew Khushi would never attempt suicide.

"Who" Arnav asked angrily.

Khushi shook her head "I-I don't know"

NK opened the door and screamed.He closed his eyes and covered them with his hands "I AM SCARRED! I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO GET THIS OUT OF MY SYSTEM!NANNAV!YOU SHOULD HAVE LOCKED THE DOOR!"

"SHUT UP NK!" Arnav yelled and stood up.

"How can I?" NK said meekly "I found you in such a compromising position with your wife...thank god you both were wearing clothes!" Khushi blushed a bright shade of red and ran to the washroom.Arnav pushed NK out of the room and locked the door.NK twisted the knob "Now you lock it!"

Khushi couldn't stop blushing.The scene kept replaying in her mind.Arnav's romantic mood had added to it.She wondered why he had acted that way though.Khushi walked into the room and was a bit sad to see Arnav had left.Suddenly she felt strong arms wrap around her waist and turn her around.She wasn't too shocked to see Arnav.Arnav smiled and kissed her cheek "I love you" he whispered.

Khushi closed her eyes knowing she would never forget this moment.She slowly opened her eyes and stared at Arnav "Really?" she asked very innocently.

"With all my heart" he whispered huskily.Arnav turned Khushi around,making her back come in contact with his front "Now...I don't want you to go out in this dark green sari...how about blue?" He opened her closet and took out the blue sari "You'll look really pretty in it"

Khushi blushed and nodded.She took the sari from him and walked towards the washroom to change but he held her wrist,stopping her "Tomorrow's the wedding...can I pick something for you again"

Khushi nodded "I would love that" She ran into the washroom and leaned against the closed door.She held her skin above her heart,trying to calm it.

Everybody was having breakfast.Arnav was sitting on Khushi's right side.He held her hand,preventing her to eat with it "Arnav" Khushi gasped,looking at him "Arnav..I need to eat" she whispered.

"So?Who's stopping you?" he replied,teasingly.

Khushi frowned and tried to pull her hand out of Arnav's but he was too strong.Lavanya looked at Khushi and frowned "What's wrong Khushi?Don't you like the food? I made it"

"Of course..I love the food Lavanya" Khushi immediately replied.She didn't want Lavanya to think she didn't like the food.Khushi glared at Arnav and brought out her left hand.She tried to eat with it which was quite difficult.

"Khushi..you're left handed?" noticed Naina "Since when? I didn't even notice

Khushi gulped "Um..I c-can eat with both hands" Naina looked confused.Khushi felt like a fool and looked at Arnav but he was too involved in his food.Khushi pierced her nails into his palm making Arnav yelp "What happened Arnav" Khushi asked too sweetly,batting her eye lashes at him.

Arnav glared at her.Khushi grinned as she turned back to her food but nearly screamed when Arnav picked her up in his arms "Arnav,where are you taking her?" asked Naina "At least let her eat breakfast"

"We'll be right back" Arnav called out as he smirked at a surprised Khushi.
