Part 13

Mom Maan called the moment he entered the KM. His voice echoed giving new life to the dying mother and her eyes twinkled in happiness seeing Maan standing near her bed with tears in his eyes. Why he asked as he fell on his knees making Naina cry with regret. She knew that it would hurt her Maan as she had hidden her disease from him. She never wanted to tell him. Few months after he left for London for his studies she was diagnosed with Cancer and she did not even let Dadima know about it but when it worsen she was forced to tell. She even asked Dadima not to tell Maan but she could not hide anything and here right now Maan was standing in front of her.

Why did not you let me know Mom he cried as he slipped next to Naina on her bed. She was so pale and fragile that he did not even feel the Naina who was not less than an angel for him. M sorry baby... par Mom did not want her baby to be tensed. He cried hearing her words and you feel now I won't cry.. You know Mom you are my life phir kyu.

I told you na don't send him to London ab dekhiye yeh keh raha hain tat you are having cancer and going to die.. aapko tho thoda sa fever hain na Mom.. you only told me na she ran and pushed everyone and sat next to Naina. Tell me na Mom.. Maan is lying na.. please.

Its true Geet... your Naina Mom is Naina could not continue as she felt choked seeing the pale expressions on Geet. She always feared this day when Geet would know about her cancer. Geet just sat looking and next she tried to run but stopped hearing Naina. You cant turn your back to me Geet.. you and Maan have to fulfill my last wish.. I want to see you both married.. She is my wife Yash and you can't stop me from doing anything saying this he walked away from Yash but Yash was fast to pull him back she is my patient and m responsible for her. Maan just stared and jerked Yash's hand and walked with a determination towards Geet. He knew he was risking and he would be emotionally weakening her but he had to. There was no other way for getting her back and even after losing her memory she was more affected by Mehar only and he would use Mehar as the way to get her back now.

You can never be their MOM, Geet.. tum tho unhse pyar bhi nahi karti.. dekho how you let your fear overpower you.. mere bacho ko jhooti umeed di thi na tumne and I swear Geet I hate you for it.. I hate you coz you were the one who made my Mehar carve for your love.. wasn't she the one who called you MOM first and today you proved tat you are just another women who felt pity for my kids. He looked at Geet for some reactions but there was none. His heart was slitting and bleeding with each word he spoke but he knew that her heart and soul could feel him and his words.

Why did you promise Mehar that you would fulfill her wish... do you even know wat she wanted.. kuch nahi jaanthi ho.. and now when she needs you.. tum yaha so rahi ho.. wah Geet wah.. Yash cried hearing him and Rano who held Ammy tight just stood still as this was the first time Maan used to harsh words to Geet. She had just reached hospital and was shocked to hear Maan.

Maan Yash called him as his placed his hand on his shoulder but he only jerked it away looking at Geet with anger. Do you get.. you are responsible for death.. you are the cause tat my Mehar is dying each second and he walked pushing Yash away from him.

Dad.. Dad Ammy cried seeing Maan not even looking at him while Rano tried to calm him down. Sshhh Ammy.. Dad will come. He shook his head saying No Nanima.. Dad angry.. he wont come.. Dad is angry with Mom... and you know when Dad is angry he does not come back Nanima. He struggled to get down but Rano held him tight fearing that he may run after Maan. She looked back at Yash who was staring at them but her eyes widen seeing something else. She could not believe it and blinked her eyes and wiped her tears trying to confirm wat she saw

Yash.. woh Geet she pointed and Yash immediately turned only to witness Geet getting wild with closed eyes. He was shocked as he saw her trying to speak up something and next she screamed loud scaring the hell out of Rano and Yash along with Armaan. Nooo.. Nooo Maan.. you can't and she opened her eyes calling out for Maan. She just kept calling him but he was not there. She tried to move out of the bed but Yash held her tight calling out for a nurse.

Leave me... Leave me she tried to push Yash. Geet sunno meri baat suno please.. calm down Geet calm down and she instantly stopped hearing her name. She turned and saw Yash looking at her but her eyes soon turned towards the small figure that was calling and crying for her. Mom.. Mom.. her heart cried seeing her baby crying as if he was hurt and she just pushed Yash and pulled out the wires and tubes that she saw on her body and ran to Armaan. She grabbed Armaan and hugged him tight even pushing Rano whom she did not even see. Mera baby... Sssh... Don't cry.. Mom hain na... Don't cry baby. She caressed him trying to calm him down totally forgetting that she is in the hospital and is a patient.

Geet Yash called her again but she just moved out of the room trying to soothe and calm her crying and shivering baby who was hugging her tight. Yash and Rano followed fearing that she would fall down as she was very weak but to their surprise she was walking as if she was fit and fine. Geet walked straight speaking sweet nothings to Armaan how wasn't ready to even stop crying. Her heart was aching with his cries and she felt as if she would die with the pain tat she was feeling but suddenly she heard something tat shook her from beneath. She turned towards the source of voice and took slow steps trying to concentrate again wat she was hearing Where is Maan Singh Khuranna... kaha hain woh.. his daughter condition.. where the hell is he. She heard one of the nurse shout at a ward boy asking about Maan. Her heart while her hand tightened their grip on Armaan. She repeated the same words wat she heard while her legs followed the path of the nurse.

Mehar her soft voice reached his ears and his heart stopped for the moment to face her. Meri bachi ko kya hua hain she asked softly as she walked towards the room. Ammy meri Mehar theek hain na she asked the sobbing child who was so scared right now tat he did not even hear wat his mother said. Bolo na kya hua meri bachi ko she repeated again with her eyes still looking straight trying to locate the nurse who disappeared. Maan slowly turned and her legs froze as she saw those eyes with tears. Mehar she asked more of taking her name and next moment she almost collapsed hearing wat the nurse was saying to Maan if not Yash. Mr. Khuranna.. Your daughter needs you... she is sinking.
