Thank you so much, @Vaishnavi! I am glad you liked it.

Not sure if I'd want to share this with Rohit though. Bechara must be even more frustrated than we are, so I don't want to make him feel worse. 😉

That was comical Tbh... instantly reminded me of my granny's poor old soap operas...where MIL Alexander tortures DIL chanakya and my beautiful SILs Rox and Olly enjoy it with chai ki chuskis...Only here DIL isn't that naive and MIL is damn sexy and not at all melodramatic...such a relief for my poor heart.
Don't know what more Tiwari has in store

I guess he is just using script of his shelved saas bahu drama with minimum corrections and additions given the current scenario at PR.

You know, my dear Vaishnavi, that is a very interesting question.

I don't know about anyone surviving a baking in this fashion, but I have personally seen perfectly ordinary folk, not yoga masters, walk across a bed of burning coals and emerge from that ordeal without a single scorch mark on the soles of their feet . These fire walking ceremonies are common in Tamil Nadu - I am Tamil - and among the Tamil community in Malaysia.

If such untrained persons can, through the sheer power of their faith, do this by making their mind prevail over their body, a trained master yogi should be able to neutralize the effects of even extreme and prolonged heating.

The opposite is also possible. When a hypnotist has you under his hypnotic influence, lays a cold needle on your arm, and tells you that the needle is red hot, the skin will be scorched and there will be a burn mark there. This has been repeatedly demonstrated through experiments.

Well, if she was really the way you described her courtesy the Alexander Romance and Massimo's book, no wonder she smiled😡. So did Olympias at the end. Monster No.1 and Monster No. 2.

Alexander looked petrified for a moment before he lit the fire - so much so that I thought he was going to have a change of heart and abandon the whole thing - and he never smiled. Small mercies.

However, the whole shebang, with the trio of Alexander, Olympias and Roxanne sitting there as if they were at a theatre performance, to watch a man being roasted to death was horrible and disgusting. 😡😡😡

Yes, Alexander would have been fully justified in killing Chanakya, for after all Chanakya had tried to get him killed by deceit. But there was NO need for this ugly display of sadism.

This said, there was something very odd about the screaming. In fact, I didn't expect Chanakya to scream at all.

A master yogi would have been able to control the reaction of his body to the heat, and so he would not have felt the pain and would not have screamed. However, I have never heard that Chanakya was a great yoga master with such special powers. So it must have been just the mud pack.

As I noted above, Chanakya will now get back to Paurav Rashtra express delivery courtesy Alexander😉😉. But the mystery of the potli of extra mud remains unsolved.

Lastly, Alexander has now given Chanakya the formal title of Sansaar ke sabse bade Aalim. Aristotle, if he had got to know of this, would not have been pleased!😉

Aunty, is it really possible being baked alive and not feeling the pain? I have never heard of this.. it's interesting but I doubt that there would be someone with such strong meditative capabilities in today's times.

It seems as if the ved realized that Chanakya still had a pulse but decided to lie to everyone and announce his death.

Yes, that is exactly what I felt too. He looked very startled at the beginning, and then recovered himself and lied. Alexander could not see his expression as he had his back to Alexander, otherwise he would have spotted the hesitation in an instant. Aur phir Chanakya ki to khair nahin!

The Rajvaid's silent subversion - he is clearly no Ambhiraj loyalist - is one in the eye for Alexander and his pronouncements about the deterrent effects of khauff. Fear works only up to a point, and even there, the oppressed start opting for subversive tactics that then spread.

Don't go away, kid. Stay and keep me company. You and I are perhaps the only ones here who feel exactly alike about the goings on centred on Alexander, and we need to stand by each other to the bitter end!

I simply loved your remix of the Alexander bhashan. It was very clever, that goes without saying, but equally, in fact more important, the full impact of the bitterness that is possessing you came thru crystal clear. You are really a most imaginative writer, my dear, and it is a constant pleasure to have you here.

Thanks Aunty, glad you liked it! 😳

I felt the same way towards SidT/the CVs yesterday as Sony Alexander did about Chakanya's betrayal and I could find no better way to express myself.

I have been trying to stay calm the past few days but yesterday's episode finally hit the ceiling as far as my level of frustration was concerned. I just really had to offload all that was pent up. Aargh!

It is indeed a testament to how much I love Rohit's work that I'm still around, watching this show. If it were any other show, I would have probably left by now.

One of the reasons I stopped watching Game of Thrones, of which SidT is apparently a big fan, is the gratuitous violence and gore. Though Porus is extremely mild in comparison, I can certainly see some influences. I hate it when that happens. That Chanakya will escape is clear (because we know history), but the fact is, this sequence was uncalled for. Alexander could have punished or killed him off in many other ways, and to me the bull scene was gratuitous.

Sony Alexander's character has been degraded continuously, but the last few episodes have shown an exponentially sharp decline. 😡 😡 😡

Not just the story tracks but all those big announcements about the scale of this show and the attempt to do something different had us intrigued last year. Yet, we are just getting more and more 🤬 as the time passes.

I wish they had wrapped this up last month with a quick battle sequence. Right now, I'm not sure how I can go through this for another 2 months (or whatever is left). The finish line doesn't seem to be in sight just yet. 😕

You, my dear, are as bad as luckysnow, if not worse.😆 I suppose both of you are GoT aficionados, and compared to what I am told goes on there, this bull stuff must seem like kiddie material.

Shoo! Off with you!😉 If you feel like it, go and read my latest, which I have just posted.

Thank you Aunty! Your words made me feel better. I will stick it out till the end just for Rohit. He deserves all the support he can get. If we're feeling this way, can you imagine being in his shoes? 😲

I read my post again today to see if I'd overreacted and had been too harsh in my rant, but nope, I still stand by what I felt and wrote here.

I am feeling a bit calmer though, after offloading all of my pent-up frustration. 😆 I really appreciate you taking the time to read through my craziness and for encouraging me to keep writing. 😃
