When the actual episode came out, I don't know how many time I had replayed this scene and the one where he tricked the fool Arredius, by letting him willingly run in the direction of the foes and he later ended up like an idiot under his shield looking at him with a betrayed and grumpy face 😆 I can't deal with his smirks ☢️

I didn't know anything about Rohit, or the actor playing Alexander when I started watching this show. All I used to see was the montage at the beginning of each episode.

When they showed his dhamaakedaar entry in episode 17, even though it was only a few minutes, I was mesmerized by this performance. It was one of the most stunning entries I've watched on TV. In episode 18 as they continued with the fight scenes, my admiration for his performance as a soldier went sky high. Finally, when they showed him announcing the punishment for the defeated king back in Macedonia, I began my journey of being a Rohit fan. Ever since that, I've always looked out for the Macedonian segments.

The Battle of Chaeronea (episode 37 onwards) was spectacularly shot and Rohit got a chance to showcase his range of acting kills in so many ways. To name a few: demolishing his enemies as ferocious warrior and general, dealing with sibling rivalry, outsmarting his half-brother and his enemies, defending Philip, and then becoming an unstoppable raging lion defeating the enemy king as he reassured Philip that nothing would happen to him. The following episodes where he is vulnerable and full of love for Philip as a son, more than just as a general, were some of my favorites. I am glad the CVs spent time and effort on this battle as it is said to be one of the most decisive ones of the time.

Whenever there are periods of Alexandrought, I go back and watch the old episodes to enjoy Rohit's performances. I too never fail to be thrilled at the closeup of his eyes with that lion helmet and accompanying roar. It is impressive how just that closeup portrays what Alexander is to perfection.
