I am for the NEW'sters' 😆

Well, no doubt old classics cannot be matched simply becauses they captured the essence of the time and the mood of the people then
But reviving old classics by way of re-makes is a wonderful way of paying tribute to the Old Classics.
For example, many youngsters would not have known about the old hindi classic Devdas until Sanjay Leela Bhansali made Devdas again. Probably, out of curiosity many people watched the old Devdas again.

So remakes are good, not just for the people who make them but for the original creators as well coz their wonderful creations are brought back to life again!

I don't mind remakes if done properly...i.e. enhancing old songs with new technology, etc.

However, remixes are a disaster. I feel that they ruin the original beauty of the song by adding unnecessary beats, tracks and vocals in there.

Where has creativity disappeared? Do these DJs have any real talent apart from mixing? With some musical knowledge, its easy to add finishing touches to someone else's work. Its the difference between adding kohl to the Mona Lisa's eyes and actually painting them.

Remixes have saturated innovation. they should not be encouraged, IMO. New music which is ORIGINAL is to be applauded however. 👏

I think I like both.. Old songs are evergreen you can hear them N number of times.. But the new songs u soon get bored of it and you look for change.. Old is definately gold but new is hip and kewl 😛

oo this topic is really nice.
I personally think that we need to fuse old and new togehter to get a 100% of anything. When new ideas are created, old ideas help and test them out. If one thing didnt work in the past, the new one could be modified and made better. Instead of thinking that one time or generation is better than the next, we should learn to compormise and combine ideas and experience. This would help us all move forward in which ever subject we choose.

wooo...we r yet to see the next...but i would always prefer the first one...the new..fresh and original one...afterall...it stars Big B...the new one doesnt seem to have the look of the real original one...can SRK do the justice amitabh bachchan did?i dun think so...well lets see...bt i believe i wont much like kyonki...i dunno why...but have developed a strong dislike to shah rukh...

so my choice is definitely first one...i love the song..."arey deewano...mujhe perchaano.." 😳
