20/5 - Of foreboding & symbolisms

Very interesting episode today.

There was little action compared to the past few episodes, but lots of symbolism & foreboding, of what's to ensue. I didn't manage to catch all the dialogues..but just got the gist of what happened, so it will be a less detailed post.

As I said in my post for yesterday's episode, Sher would walk into the house as a new Sher Singh post the cleansing, especially in terms of a husband. And boy, there was some progress there in their relationship for sure.

1. He made Shraddha smile. For the first time after marriage. What was interesting is that the threat to eat Gajra up if the food wasn't served on time, would have freaked Shraddha out one day ago, but now it didn't. One night & one conversation has changed so much between them. Sher showing Shraddha his worst has had quite the opposite effect of easing her because she knows him better now, rather than intimidating her.

2. Both of them promised each other loyalty & support of a lifetime. Interesting though that Sher walked away before he heard her promise..he has this habit of not listening to the full conversation...major misunderstanding seems to be on the way, especially with BD's plan regarding Virat/Shraddha..hmm let's see how it plays out.

3. Sher did not like BD scolding Shraddha. Very interesting how just in the scene before that, he declared to his grandmother of how he can never be a bad son. He was angry, but as soon as he saw Shraddha, he calmed down. And some amazing symbolism when BD drops Sher's plate in the process of correcting Shraddha's mistakes, further agitating Sher. Whether BD dropped it on purpose or accidentally, it doesn't matter. The fact is that like Dadi has proclaimed, love will change Sher & give him that courage to fight. And there is no stepping back for Sher. What's even more beautiful is that Sher himself acknowledged this in the scene with Virat.

It was a very well connected episode with a theme that was running throughout the scenes. Me likes it :)

I liked the episode as well..it was lighter in terms of Sher & Shraddha's interaction, yet had the much needed intensity courtesy BD and dadima. There is something I fail to understand. Dadi can show BD her place in a minute by kicking her out yet she does not. She mentioned something about being in her position once. It made me rethink dadi's feelings towards BD. She might not actually hate her but I think BD reminds her of her younger self.

Shershraddha were cute. And did Sher even realise the words he said..on one hand he promised to fight for Shraddha against anybody & on the other hand he declared to dadi that he will never be a bad son. The conflict was set up & there we had it set in in last scene wIth both these women pitted against each other.

One word : Amazing post!

For me,I'm still trying to decipher BD's character. She is shown to care for young girls, mothers...women in general but she treats her daughter-in-law terribly, doesn't respect the mother-in-law...very contradicting
