Piya Ka Ghar protagonist dies of cancer

Piya Ka Ghar, Zee TV's the afternoon daily is set to close shop. And it's leading lady Rimjhim (Narayani Shastri) will breathe her last with it.

In a never-before kind of ending, the serial makers are planning a scene that will leave the audience shocked.

Producer Sheel Kumar says, "We are ending the serial with Rimjhim's death. We are showing this because according Indian tradition it is said that a girl leaves her maternal house in a palanquin and departs only on a pyre from her marital house."

Most television serials end on a happy note. How will the audiences react to this unusual tragic end? "The end is neither tragic nor sudden," says Kumar. "Rimjhim is suffering from cancer. I feel such an end is justified. All her life, she sacrificed her happiness for her family. She did everything to keep her family united. In all these travails, she ignored her own wellbeing."

"It will be a highly emotional scene. It will be executed in a very dramatic manner. Rimjhim will also be aware that she is going to die," adds Kumar.

On the other hand Narayani Shastri says that she is clueless about how the audience will react to her death. She asserts, "I believe it is the right ending. Moreover, happy endings sound boring."

Shooting for the tragic last scene could well leave the crew on the sets of Piya ka Ghar with tears in their eyes!

I can't believe this!! What is wrong with the people of this show..its absolutely amazing!! The title of the show is "Piya Ka Ghar". Which means that at the end Rimjhim should live happily ever after in her husband's house. Instead they are copying the Kkusum act and kill of Rimjhim in the end..Also, they already showed Rimjhim escaping from cancer, what the point of showing her die from it??

i know first of all all though her life she went though pain n suffered n den now shes dying she doesnt deserve tht at all

Umm hello? To the makers, if one doesn't relapse within a matter of years, cancer is hardly a chance in death. She already had cancer!! Meet rimjhim, Medical Wonder...

i say its better - they will atleast realize her value while she is die

same here... I have also seen the serial since it's 1st episode and haven't missed even 1 of it! and now she's going to die🤢

I only hope that in the last episode they show some scenes of Rimjhim and Avinash when they were young...😃

I cannot believe this. It is sooo stupid that they think it is original, did they ever happen upon another famous serial called kkusum for crying out old she died the same way just with a different illness. they should not put in a sad ending because the show was sad enough by itself and at times they made it too gloomy and that is why they lost their viewers and ratings and i cannot believe that they are going to end the serial that way also. I personally believe that the show is not making the correct decision. thanks for the update though.

OMG!! I can't believe this, it is like how they left Kkusum. Endings of a serial should be happy, especially for this serial! Everyone should be one big happy family! This sux!!
