Ameesha Patel was alongside the dulhan Prachee Shah (Pooja of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Yashoda of Piya Ka Ghar) and dulha Vishwas Paandya, when they tied the knot at Sun N Sand hotel on Friday morning.

Ameesha was also present at the reception, in the evening, at the same venue; Prachee and she have been friends for ten years.
"Ameesha has made a huge difference in my life," says Prachee. "If she hadn't come in my life, I would have been very lonely," the newly married bride told hitList.
Ameesha is very happy that Prachee has married the man of her choice. "I am very excited and happy for my dearest friend Prachee, as she steps into her new life. And I know that she will be as super a wife to Vishwaas as she has been a friend to me," she said.
Aise mile
Prachee met Ameesha during the rehearsals of a play they were supposed to do together — much before Kaho Na Pyar Hai released, in January 2000.
While Prachee (a trained dancer, who does several stage shows) was handling the choreography, Ameesha was acting. The play never saw the light of day, but Prachee and Ameesha became really close.
Reveals Prachee, "Those days, Ameesha stayed in Churchgate and our rehearsals were in the suburbs.
Whenever we had time, we would come to my place in Andheri, and chat. Once, I had to do some choreography with her. She couldn't come to the suburbs and I went to her place. When we were done and I was leaving, she suggested I stay back. We chatted till late at night, a strong bond developed, and touch wood, till now, there have been no cracks whatsoever."
Secret sisterhood
Ameesha offers, "Prachee has been with me through all my ups and downs. She is like a sister. Our friendship is very, very, very special. Words will not be enough to describe the special bond between us."
Prachee says she knows everything about Ameesha. "I know where she is at any given instant; I know what interviews she did during the day, which scenes she shot." And Ameesha knows Prachee's every secret. "I told her about Vishwaas from day one. We don't hide anything from each other," giggles the nayi naveli dulhan.
Good turn out
Apart from Ameesha, Maharashtra Finance Minister, Jayant Patil, Ramesh Sippy, Shyam Shroff, Govinda, Anupam Kher, Alka Yagnik, Shilpa Saklani, Ritu Chaudhary, Gauri Pradhan, Narayani Shastri, Riva Bubber, Mahalaxmi Iyer, Vaishali Samant, Sulbha Arya, Alok Nath, Parveen Dabbas, Anupam Bhattacharya, Hariharan and Kamalika Guha Thakurta attended the reception. Vishwaas and Prachee left last night for their honeymoon in Mauritius
