Came back as fast as I could. I seriously don't believe my luck, I thought today was a lunch affair but guess what? It was dinner! Don't know what I should do with myself, either I forget something or I'm just clueless about things but that's my own fault, they probably told me that and as usual I was distracted and didn't register that. My mom was hearing nothing this time so I had to tag along, sigh. The speed with which I got ready, my room is a total mess, don't know how I'm going to sleep in that and too tired to move anything, lol. But what's looking more of a mess right now is me! They put confetti all over me, the meanie neighbors! Hate them! Have to try and get it all off before going to bed.😛🤣
Don't know if you have that function there, but it's held a day after the wedding when the couple comes back to the girl's side and it's the most fun function of all. It's either a lunch or dinner where you start with kheer and um again don't know if you know of it, it's a Mauritian specialty called the 'dholl puri'. It's a little like a roti but made from dhall and very fluffy and yummy! And then you've got the main course and desert. After that, everyone gathers for the party and unless you aren't scared of getting dirty, you should run from there early like I did, lol! They try to catch you and shower confetti on you and then they prepare colored water mixing flour in it and then they throw it on everyone, and it becomes a messy holi kind of thing where everyone is squealing and trying to get their friend drenched. Thank god I told my mom to hurry, because they were just starting to do that, I only got attacked with the confetti which is still okay considering that was going to follow but poor groom! They really got him, lol! Phew! One more wedding where I escaped it, no one has ever been able to get me and hopefully it will stay that way.🤣
But..there was a super embarrassing moment, there was a karaoke band tonight and they were really good! They asked the guests to say if they had any song they wanted to be played in particular and my lil cousin told me to request Jab Se Mere Dil Ko Uff. Since I didn't want to ask directly, told my n**ghb*r to do it for me...and that was the biggest mistake of my life. ** took the mike **ms**f and sung it! And ** had the guts to point towards *e and say this one is for you in front of everyone. God! I wished the earth had swallowed me up right then, I had never ever been embarrassed like that but to my relief when they all turned and cheered, they didn't focus on me and kept looking to see who it was. Even I made a show of looking behind me and there was a lot of girls so I don't think anybody noticed. My mom told me ** was kidding like ** always does, and I guess ** was but still that was the limit! Sorry for that, will stop fuming and try to forget about it.😛
Seriously ignore all of the above please. Having too many weddings must have screwed up my mind because that's all I talk about about these days. Sorry!😛
And I wasn't fast enough because you have a trip tomorrow and I'm way too late. I really thought I would be here tonight so hating it right now.
