Ajay Singh Chaudhary of Palampur Express has never dreamed of becoming an actor. Acting happened to him accidently. He has done his masters in theatres from Mumbai University.

"My father is an army officer and he always wanted me to become a medico. I am lucky that I bagged Anurag Basu's play love story with in two months of my course completion" he asserts.

While he was preparing for his medical entrance exam he participated in few modelling contests in Merut and won them too. In spite of qualifying the entrance he stalled the admission and came to Mumbai. "Those modelling titles stirred the germ of acting in me and I came to Mumbai. I joined the University to bump up my acting skills" he briefs.

He did his masters in theaters and was soon spotted by Anurag Basu for his play Love Story where he played Dev. "Love story is very special for me as it was my first assignment", he concludes. Ajay its long way to go.- Sampurn Media

Aamras The new chocolate boy Ajay Singh Chaudhary is all set and eagerly waiting for the release of his first film. But his innings on silver screen does not end here as he has another film 'Aamras' to go on floor in couple of months.

'Aamras' is produced by Sunil Joshi of 'Bheja Fry' fame. Apart from that daughter of renowned film maker Basu Chattererjee, Rupali Guha has directed the film.

"I am playing a guide in the movie from Panchgani," Ajay divulges about his role in the film.

Article on ajay wen he entered "gunahaon ka devta" as cameo

Ajay Chaudhary to enter as a lawyer in Imagine's Gunahon Ka Devta in the coming episodes...

TellyBuzz has already reported about Kitani Mohabbat Hai - 2 and one more show making way for Ratan Ka Rishta on Imagine from 30th May. We all know by now that the 8-9 pm band is being made free with the ending of Gunahon Ka Devta.

However, before Gunahon Ka Devta ends, there will be a new entry in the show.

Ajay Chaudhary, presently seen in Colors' Andhera will be seen in a cameo in the show.

A little birdie tells us, "Ajay Chaudhary plays the role of Dev, a lawyer by profession who is the childhood friend of Pihu (Tanvi Bhatia). He returns from abroad and gets to know that Pawan (Shardul Pandit) is in jail. He intends to help the family in their moment of crisis. Pihu and Dev have a liking for each other and the family even decides to get them married. This will give rise to a triangle between Avdesh (Ashish Sharma), Pihu and Dev".

When contacted, Ajay confirmed the news saying, "This is a small cameo that has been introduced before the show ends. I have never worked with Imagine and Shakuntalam Telefilms before, and I took it up as an opportunity to associate with them".

Guess this is the last of the major twists happening before the show wraps up on 27th May.

Ajay Chaudhary should be rewarded for his loyalty towards his show Love Story. Though he plays the second lead in it, he turned down the offer to play the central character in an upcoming Balaji show. Two weeks ago, he was asked to come and meet Ekta Kapoor as she was interested in casting him, but he declined the offer as he was hard pressed for time. "My commitment to Love Story is 25 days a month. It's difficult to say no to Ekta but I expressed my inability to act in one more daily and she was very understanding. But I told Ekta that I am open to work with Balaji and may be after six months something will work out," he says.

When asked what is so special about Love Story that he wants to continue acting in it, even though he is not the lead, he says, "It's a lovely show and I really enjoy doing it."

Talking about his role in the passionate and violent love story that is set in a college campus Ajay says, "Dev is like any other college boy. But he has style, looks and great communication skills. His friends are his life and he is madly in love with Shruti who comes from a well-connected political family. There are lots of twists and turns in the story."

The irony of the situation is that before he landed a role in Love Story, Ajay auditioned three times for Balaji, but didn't get any work. It was only after they saw his work on his debut show that Ekta Kapoor and her creative heads were impressed with the young actor's looks and acting skills.

Till something with Ekta works out, Ajay is content with Love Story and he is also busy shooting for the title track of a ghazal album by Jagjit Singh, Ghulam Ali and Abida Parveen in Delhi. Movies he says are not yet on his agenda

Ajay Singh Chaudhary blames his passion for bikes on the character of Dhruv that he plays in Champs on Bindass. He says, "Before I started shooting for the show, I was never too interested in racing bikes.

Dhruv is a softhearted biker who has a go-getter attitude and nurtures a dream to win the biking competition one day. While shooting for the show I realised that a lot of risk is involved in racing a bike. But then, there are risks at every step in our lives."

After doing a masters in theatre, Ajay gave auditions for Anurag Basu's show Love Story and got selected to play the character of Dev. "That show was of a different genre altogether. It was shot in a manner that made the viewer feel as if the characters were sitting next to him/her and talking. It had very 'real' and natural feel to it. My character Dev started with positive shades but became a psychopath by the end of the show. People admired the character a lot and I felt fortunate to have started my career with a role that explored my ability to act out both positive and negative roles," he says.

The actor credits Love Story for the number of offers he got. "I had enough offers at my disposal to choose what I thought would work out best for my career. I chose to play Jatin in Sujata since it was a role that touched my heart. Jatin is a young man who wants to give all the comforts to his mother, who brought him up all alone," he smiles and adds, "I also have similar feelings about my parents."

So what was his parents' reaction when they got to know that he was looking to make a career in the world of showbiz? "My parents were okay with my decision to explore my creative side rather than the academic one. But my relatives said ' Yeh kya kar raha hai ? Time waste karne wali baat hai. Issey achha to doctor ya engineer banta .' But now they are happy too, since, they also watch my shows," he says.

This 24-year-old actor is quite modest about the female fan following that he enjoys. And to add to it, he is also doubtful if any girl would agree to marry him. "Female fan following is for the characters that I play on the small screen. The girls don't fall for Ajay, they fall for Dev, Dhruv or Jatin. Considering the hours I spend shooting, no intelligent girl would like to have me in her life. I wonder who will marry me?" he says.

Yes, the chocolate boy, Ajay Singh Chaudhary who was last seen in Kumkum and Love Story prior to that, is all set to board Palampur Express as he joins Akshat Gupta and Pooja Kanwal. The cute actor who has a huge fan following may have been gifted with the key role onaccount of his popularity.

Ajay is playing Dhruv in Palampur Express. It is a positive character. Dhruv is a rich guy but at the same time he is very down-to-earth. He is a childhood friend of Paavni aka Pooja Kanwal and has shifted with his family from Palampur to Delhi long back.

He goes back to Palampur for business and stays with Paavni's family. And the inevitable happens-the couple falls in love. Dhruv motivates Paavni to take her dream of becoming an athlete seriously. He motivates her to go to a metro to chase her dream.

Ajay To Quit Palampur Express..

Palampur express may come to a jarring stand halt, as Palampur boy Ajay has expressed his displeasure with the way serial is shaping up, so much so that he plans to quit the show.

"No doubt it's a beautiful concept, but the story at this juncture is going nowhere," laments the actor. He further states, "I am just waiting for the new twist that will be soon introduced in the serial, as told to us by the Creatives. If I like the twist, I will continue or else, I have made up my mind."

Even though he agrees to have made ample moolah with his stint in the two-months-old serial, but as an actor he does not see the scope to explore anything beyond what he is doing right now.

After 'Let's Dance' he is awaiting another film. Apparently, he seems to be enticed by the flashy silver screen over the lush greenery of Palampur!
