i dont know how... but of late, am getting this feeling that they are overdoing the whole 'supergirl' concept.... agreed tht phulwa is the central character and she need to get her special place.... but why cant they just do tht by portraying her as simple normal girl n not a supergirl types?? it was ok in the beginning... but a lil girl of 7-8 shown to be finding solutions to even the most complex situation in the world - n not once or twice, many time over, is kinda unbelievable....

we saw her getting her father across the river to go to the court.... was strange, i mean, why couldn't tht man think for himself? he needed a 7 year old to show the way?? ok... may be he was shown to be stupid... she could sense the evil intentions of lakhya and his mother @ the court... and imarti could too.... thank god, atleast the mom has some senses....

then came the saving the dacoit - i thought i read about the sets of the village where the shooting was on... tht sai ballal was saying they hardly see any women out in the streets... and this lil girl was out, in the middle of the night, to save this guy and no one knew? and she kept it to herself n didnt tell any one? a girl of 7 so secretive and prudent? and wasn't she scared to go near a dacoit - cant believe a village girl who must have grown up hearing the scary stories of dacoity didnt realize what he is... ok, lets give it the name of humanity, even though the circumstances were beyond comprehension. (n not to forget, she said no to the gold he offered)

n then comes the boat issue... she jumped into the chambal river which the whole village was scared of (we see mangroo telling her in the beginning not to drink water from this river coz its cursed)... n found the boat... and when she found it hard to get the boat to the shore - there comes ppl with huge builds - with a motor giant asking for "phulwa" and ready to help... where did she have such contacts? no one bothered to ask tht??

we saw a wise mother who could see through the sugary approach of the lakhya family earlier...but then again, champas wedding and the whole sona fiasco... no one ever doubted her intention? only phulwa knew... and imarti - the wise mom - didn't bother to listen. and the 'pareeksha' for champa - dipping her hands in hot oil... this girl dared to speak, when no grown up did... in such a frightening scenario.. lets say tht was her fearlessness....

i cant imagine a whole village giving so much importance to the words of a little girl.... the moment she says "ruko" champas would be fil stops, the pandit stops, the village stops. and finally "phulwa ne champa ki shadi ramcharan se kavra di" ??? god! now this is too much!! in any other village scene, ramcharan would have been the hero... and it wouldnt be so easy to convince the villagers either... but phulwa is next to god? frankly, i'd rather see a simple normal girl and her life... troubles, we know she had to face lots, assuming its phoolan devi's story... but glorifying and projecting her as superhuman, i feel, is a bit too much.

and many scenes like ramcharan bowing his head before her, champa giving her too much importance compared to the other siblings... chunnis dad always speaking in a tone tht phulwa is next to devi ma... is tht only me whoz feelign this way here? no one else feeling weird about all these?

In a way it is unrealistic . I am saying na Kashi was better because it shown us the struggle of a normal lower cast girl to get her education . But people like to see more high voltage drama than emotional stories. So what Kashi could not do with Jannat Phulwa had done to her . But for me she is Kashi ..

Good point sudss. I am also having a feeling that in order to make a super girl, they are doing just about anything, without any iota of moderation.
I guess they just want to show all these so as to keep the TRPs soaring.

Agree with all of you.

And like I said, this show is getting sketchier by the day...

Another "Phulwa will save the day" was the situation where last week, she tells her parents that they will get their land back 😕

Ther r something inborn qualities in someone. Now don't say how can a girl can be dacoit (in coming episodes phulwa wud turn into a dacoit). Ther shud be some inborn qualities in someone so that he or she turn into doctor, engineer, actor etc. I think serial is going smoothly but still i am waiting when wud phulwa takes guns and wud and wud led a life of dacoit.

hmm... i havent seen much of kashi other than through those promos and the links u posted earlier. so dont know much about the storyline of the show... btw, how did they wind it up? did they show kashi going to school finally?? anyway, one thing is for sure - jannat is a blessed artist... the ease with which she is portraying a village girl, even in such impossible scenes, is worth an applause! 👏👏way to go sweetie!!

exactly poetic... and the last two episodes...the slapstick comedy is way too much for me to take... but still... its atleast better than showing violence on tv. god know whats up next!

yess... and we saw her doing tht too!! even for property matters, the highest authority is phulwa 😉 why cant the grown ups do something??? and yesterdays being 'too good a girl' trying to save sona kaki from trouble again, was unbelievable... may be the CVs havent seen kids around so they dont know the kind of anger these lil things possess - they dont give up and be all goodie goodie so easily 😉

agree with you Sar56gesh... every kid is born with some quality or the other.... humanity, truthfullness, courage... but its the circumstances tht change it... and in such a village where woman dont even go out, our very own phulwa roaming around unconstrained and doing all these things (even in the so called sophisticated lifestyle, a kid is not let fre like tht, definitely not during the odd hours)... and every one appreciating and bowing to her is something incredible. even in cities where kids get so much of importance, ppl dont listen to them in serious issues. here a child, and a girl child at tht is being respected and her deeds appreciated by every one around, not just her family. even the thakurs and the lakhya family are scared of her... well... part of the drama... but am scared its loosing touch with the reality...

@zaxo
nice to know its not just me whoz feelign this way.. in a pure fiction, all these are tolerated.. the trouble is when u start reading phoolan devi's story into it - which is very much real and part of history. but yeah, we must not forget these drama elements are must for the trps... or else the channel cant go on... lets see... all is well as long as the show goes on well...
