So we are on our second DOTW. It was requested by our members for us to use this topic. Very good choice by them. Hope we have a g8 discussion. And I hope its not slow like the last.😃

NIce topic I will comment on it later ...by the way Any one know exactly what is the Age diffrence between the two... I know Sugni was 19...I am guessing Vickram was around 35??

I am not sure what was their exact age difference either.

When I had read the whole concept of PSH and how Aditya would be the one to rescue Sugni, that is what I was expecting to see. So when Vikram came on the show the first day at the train station, I was like "oh he is so old for her, yada yada yada"

Everything he did, I was scrutinising, looking for the hidden agendas, wondering when he would turn into the "dirty" thakur wanting to molest the poor young girl. But as the story progressed and I saw that there was no hidden agendas and his feelings for her were genuine, I actually stopped noticing the age difference. I saw just this handsome, kind and loving man falling in love with a girl. Their "Ore Piya" dance was so hot and every other scene with them was just amazing until the CVs spoiled it.

So I will say that because of the synopsis of the show, I was looking out for the age difference but then that disappeared. Every story is unique just like every relationship. With SugVi, his unconditional love for her wiped out whatever age difference there was. Relationships are all about trust and respect, even more than love.

So while, I wouldn't agree to a 50 year old guy with a 18 year old girl, some relationships are just beyond age differences.

Last year April when the show started, Gulki was 22 and Varun was 38.

In the show Sugni (when she picked up TVS from the station in her rickshaw) said she was 18 1/2 years old.

TVS's age was never mentioned but I think he was meant to be in his mid 30s.

I guess he was roughly twice her age.

Oh! okay,Payal.I didn't see that episode, as I had started to watch from episode 8 on Tv.Then afterwards I saw the previous episodes without subtitles on youtube. Will comment later.

Ok lets say he is about 36 and she is 19 ...apox. 15-17 years older... We know that Sugvi fans did not see anything eeeky in that!
But what are you views... dose it matter , not matter... To me what matters was the way he treated her... Honestly the 1st time I saw them in the same frame I was like "OH GOD NOT DAT MAN!' then he opened his mouth to talk and I was alright no poblem...
See to me , how a man treats a woman is what matters... and even though he was older than her, he was not the controlling type, or the jealous type, If Adi and reva did not come along I have feeling he woul have helped her to devlop herself and become some one... IN this situation I see nothing wrong with it...

Absolutely agree Vinnie. Actually when i first saw TVS i too thought he was too old for her that was why i thought that Adi was going to be Sugni's prince and TVS was just going to be a really good friend to her somewhat like a mentor who would encourage her to fight against the norms of society. But then when the story changed suddenly and i began seeing TVS falling in love with Sugni i have to say that the issue with their age differences totally disappeared from my mind because their love, respect and trust for each other especially TVS's love for Sugni was something that was very admirable and i guess you guys too felt the same way. When you saw SUGVI'S romantic scenes, you didn't think about their age differences at that time. They just seemed so right for each other.

My perspective is that once two persons truly love each other and always stand by each other through bad and good times and once they are happy then nothing else matters. TVS loved and respected Sugni a lot so i think their age difference did not matter. Both loved each other more than their own lives and they were happy. Relationships are based on love and trust and without them a relationship cannot survive . SUGVI's relationship,even though there were many ups and downs proved that true love always wins in the end. The age difference between them does not stand a change in comparison to their love. I guess once God says its meant to be then its meant to be irrespective of the person(s) race, class, background and in some situations i guess even the age difference.
