Who Really Knows?

Sandy hurricane may have gone, a storm so perfect,
But who knows tomorrow, what comes next?
We keep breaking promises, our values have no effect.
We leave the poor hungry ignoring them & defect,
We are not concerned about our natural world,
Seeds of destruction we sow upon, a stage, we set.
Could this be a reflection from our lack of action & regret?

Well said Mouni.

It's exactly what I have been trying to say, though if I said anything like this on an AT thread I would have thought of being ousted! 😆

I am completely shattered today...😕

Why? Why this injustice to the show, the characters, the viewers? Is this what called 'Entertainment' ? ...Ridiculous! 😲

I've never seen such a show where there was everything to make it successful, brilliant, but unfortunately, the CVs made it total dumb just by running behind the so called 'Original Lead'...😆
Oh come on! We are not in the age where the production house once announced the lead pair & the viewers blindly waited only for their(leads' ) scenes...
Here it takes time to unfold the chemistry between two characters(may be they are lead or not) & once they come close to our heart, we accept them wholeheartedly ,irrespective of their position, look, age or any other boundary...

I know, Adi & Sugni are the two people in the show destined to marry each other & to turn into the 'Leads' ...Well,we have no problem with that..
But then the question is why Vikram Singh has to fall in so much love with Sugni & vice-versa? Why to generate such an unforgettable chemistry between them? Why to turn them so much comfortable, romantic with each other ? Why to make a place for these two in audiences' minds? Why all these sacrifices made by these two lovers?...Unlimited questions arise, but there is no one to answer 😔...

Vikram Singh, with all his faults(whether he has any or many) is still rare as a true lover...Brave, Sacrificing & Protective...From the day one of their journey of love, he is so loving & caring, who has a lot of faith in his love as well as his lover...
And you can't just come one day & portray him all at a sudden as a guy who doubts the lady he is in so much love with ...Why ? Just because you don't have enough reasons to separate them logically ? Just because you don't have space to establish your "previously-declared" leads? Because you don't have answers to your viewers' logical questions & you dare to face their reactions?
This is UNFAIR..Unfair to the character , unfair to the people you want to 'entertain'(!!)...👎🏼

You made a character so much respectable,lovable...one who is destined to have a cheap, greedy wife but still always takes care of her...one who loves a lady of a backward community so much...One whose only guilt was to hide the truth of his wife from the lady he loves, though the truth was even unknown to him earlier & he tried many times to tell his love about that & finally failed to do so out of fear of losing her...
One whose life is his love...One who sacrifices all the time...One who deserves a much better than what he gets...
And suddenly, one day we found him doubting his lover whom he always used to trust blindly , in whose eyes he used to find the same love that he has for her, whose company used to be the precious one to him..
Is life a drama? Does everything change within glimpses ? Is relationship like a toy that can be broken & joined simultaneously ?
Is marriage a game(considering the no. of times the sindoor was placed & then again the marriage was ignored )?🤪

What about the characters? Everyone got ruined...
Adi, the so called educated gentleman, the 'would-be lead' of the show, the Mama's boy now doesn't hesitate to fight with him for a girl, the girl who is his Mama's lover...Adding to this,he fell in love with her ..He even married her & wait, not once but twice...How nice! 😡

Sugni...what to say about this girl !...The story ought to revolve around her, her bravery, her struggles, her fights...but poor she is, we can't feel anything for her rather than to pity her...
She is growing immature as the time progresses...First, she did her 'sardhakai' immediately after her wedding with Vikram got cancelled...This is probably biggest proof of her mental weakness, impatience & immaturity...
We got the point very well that she never wants to destroy any Thakurain's life, but can't get why she is all ready to leave her Thakur-malik to lead a life of hell...Doesn't she know Rewa? Doesn't she know what Rewa is chasing for? or Is she the silliest girl on this earth?
And now, when his lover doubts her, she is also changing colours..🥺.She is going to marry the other guy instead of being there for her lover & prove him wrong...Even she now regrets her love!..Seriously, I'm done with her..
And the biggest joke with the character Vikram is he now doubts Sugni... After witnessing all his love, struggling, sacrifices ,now we have to believe that he has no trust in his lover...OMG! My brain seems to have stopped working...

The show has not only played with our emotions, but also with our rituals, customs...They made fun of everything..
But unfortunately, at the end of the day, we can't address it better than a ' WASTE '...Sorry..

Vikram ~ Poetry

Here's the translation for poem in the video above:

Khabhi itna woh chahenge, mujeh paagal woh kar dale,

Sometimes, they'll love me so much that they make me insane.

Khabhi nafrat ke darya mein mujhe dhakhil woh kar dale

Sometimes, they place me into a sea of hatred.

Kabhi Sultan bana dale mujhe apni woh dunya ka

Sometimes, they place me as a Sultan in my own world.

khabhi to sheher mein apne mujeh saa'il woh kar dale

Sometimes, in my own city they make me into a beggar.

Khabhi woh naikh panah deedar ki daulat mujeh de dein

Sometimes, I am shown the wealth of pious security.

Khabhi parde ke dewarein, khari haail woh kar dale

Sometimes, walls of cloaks are raised up high.

khabhi apne woh pahlo mein mujhe sadiyan sulatein hai

Sometimes, they make me sleep for generations.

Khabhi barson ki neendon me ajab halchal woh kar dale

Sometimes, they turn my years of slumber into a bizzare turmoil.

Khabhi itna woh chahenge, mujeh paagal woh kar dale

Sometimes, they'll love me so much that they make me insane.

Khabhi nafrat ke darya mein mujhe dhakhil woh kar dale

Sometimes, they place me into a sea of hatred.

(Please let me know if any of it is incorrect)

Hi Mouni,
Sorry if I am intruding here. But wanted to agree with Croziaxx. The wind God name in sanskrit is Vayudev. Varun is God of rains/Sea.
Just thought of sharing what I know. Thank you!!
@Istilla - Thank you for such a refreshing thread after a disappointing episode today. I needed this fresh air to come out of my gloominess.
I also liked your drawing, it's awesome. I agree, watching TV is addictive and need to check on our habbits once a while...I will be working on it from next week.
Have a nice weekend.

Don't Turn Back

Download: Don't Turn Back - MP3 (Song Attached)

Debu - 'Don't Turn Back: Along The Rugged Coastline' Lyrics

Along the rugged coastline my eyes they were fixed,

As the tide rolled in, I tell you, my feelings they were mixed,

The sea stretched out before me with fathoms of blue,

Of the journey that awaited it offered not a clue.

My body trembled so, and my resolution failed,

My palms were cold and wet, and my lips began to pale,

Should I really make this journey, or stay here on the coast?

I considered once again what it was that I wanted most.

I lifted my hand above my brow and looked out once again,

Scanning the horizon, I tried to see the end,

I stood there in the cold wind, it was so very stark,

And I pondered deeply this journey on which I would embark.

Don't Turn Back, Don't Turn Back, Don't Turn Back.

I dropped my hands down to my sides and stood there by the water,

Thoughts raced through my head of the things I owned, and all my sons and daughters,

This journey I must make alone, I must leave them all behind,

And in the end I wasn't even sure what it was that I would find.

What I needed was a ship to take me across the waves,

I also needed courage but I knew that I wasn't brave,

My determination seemed so weak as I stood there all alone,

But I knew this land that I was in was surely not my home.

Something from deep within me, what it was I couldn't say,

Assured me that my real home across the ocean it did lay,

I knew that I did not belong here, of this I was very sure,

Yet I was not certain I wanted to leave as I stood there on the shore.

Don't Turn Back, Don't Turn Back, Don't Turn Back.

This indecision haunted me, but my time was running out

The sea was full of whirlpools and my head was full of doubt

If I found a ship to take me who was there that could sail it?

I didn't know if I'd get another chance, and I didn't want to fail it

A ship is what I needed, for the journey was so long,

A worthy ship with sails and mainmast that were very strong,

And a captain who himself knew the way and could take me on this trip,

Who knew his way through the reefs and whirlpools, and how to guide this ship.

As I stood there contemplating, for I'd decided that I'd go,

I decided in an instant, but it seems so long ago,

There I stood wondering what to do with my feet upon the shore,

A man approached and looked at me, he said his name was Noah.

He said, 'I've got this ship and I think it's just what you need,

And I've made this trip before, so I can make it with some speed,

I've seen the people there that inhabit that domain,

And I can tell from your features that you are just the same.

So I boarded the ship with him and the journey has begun,

Some days the storms do rage, and some days there is sun,

But he really knows this ship and he really knows the sea,

And in the middle of the tempest, I feel tranquility.

Don't Turn Back...

The journey still continues but that distant shore is near,

When there is a captain like Noah, there's very little fear,

The fear there is it comes from me, it never comes from him,

He tells me this ship will never sink, and he says it with a grin.

Let's not forget the plights of thousands of persecuted women, such as those in Bosnia.

What is this story (PSH) going to achieve for the suppressed Bedia community?

May God make all vulnerable women stronger in their faith, (ameen)

Pride, stubborness, selfishness, commitments or money are not above the fact this show is:

a) Immoral
b) Conflicting
c) Hurting Womankind

Let us not forget what type of violent & mixed messages are being given to the young men, (if any are watching). TV which shows abuse on any young women will be jeopardising women's sense of safety & security on the streets.

In yester-years, we had good characters to look up to. These days, young men will copy the abuse shown on their TV screens today, as there are no real heros, no classical stories in the modern era, where standing up for truth & justice is paramount and above, to anything else.

The world sees real violence & abuse on women being perpetrated on a daily basis. Women have been raped & massacred, they have been tortured, them and their children killed or raped in front of them. Estimates of the number of women raped during the Bosnian war range from 20,000 to 50,000 and even in the West, poorer women who have come here looking for work are exploited and are still being sold.

We would not like this happening to a near female relative. Therefore, we must give respect to all women and their individual human rights to live, their choices, freedom & decisions, and stand against all violence depicted against women on TV, and also prevent the senseless demoralising and degrading of virtuous good character.

Please to stop victimising and insulting vulnerable women on such TV shows.
