Laila, a very interesting and thought-provoking topic indeed, because I have been wondering myself if I am watching PSH or some other show or two opposing serials mixed up in one without any logic connecting the two 😕😕 If CVs had to introduce a unique, a different track to move the story forward, why a bhoot-bangla-type, wolf-crying type of dark backdrop ? If let's say TVS does have a daughter, or somebody else's daughter, it could have been depicted like a normal occurrence rather than a spooky scary storyline.
Yes, until the point this sudden change came along, the trials, tribulations, the societal injustices, the poverty, the atrocities faced by these Bednis ... all of these vagories were moving along smoothly, convincingly along with their unpredictabilities, vulnerabilities, their struggles and conflicts. TVS characterization of a kind, caring, non-thakur-like demeanor became so endearing to fans and he started resonating and meshing with our whims and fancies !😃 But bang, as if we suddenly woke up from a bad dream when the same TVS portrayed a fearful, unsure, guilty, insecure, almost powerless kind of person. Wonder what CVs have cooking up in their minds !😕🤔👎🏼
Yes, so true when you say "Challenges should be a natural development of a storyline ... now they seem forced" , and almost same terminology can be used for TVS-Sug love as well. Unka pyar parwaan chadhna chahiye tha, na ki zabardasti and imposed. Sug is still an innocent and impressionable kind of girl and it almost seems as if those qualities of hers were "USED" by TVS for his own ends and purpose. I'm actually relieved to notice that Mai is always there like a "DHAAL" looking after her welfare like Durga Ma ! 😃
But I do notice slight improvement in SE's acting, expressions, concerns and esp in today's epi, I dont know if it's just me, but he appeared having even more confidence, better screen presence and as if holding the fort better than the way TVS always has.
All that said, since me an eternally optimistic kinda gal and incorrigible, I still have hope and still feel strongly that TVS is going to emerge as a decent good thakur much before the conclusion of the serial ! However, I just fail to understand the hold dhanuma has over him and why he's shown to be so oblivious of her dirty character.
And like Nu_adu I dont believe even for a sec that there will be a Sardhakai of Sug by TVS, no way jose!

P.S. BTW your other thread re TVS weight gain, I made a mention of it in some other thread esp because I have been an old fan of his as a slanky and of course much younger hunk. Years do add some weight but not if VB has been a regular cricket playing actor and plus the fact that actors in their chosen profession do make sure to maintain their appearance, weight, looks, etc etc (look at Big B at his age !! Somebody ought to remind his slender pretty actress wife ... to do something about it ! 😉)
