what is so funny about the question? And anyhow vikram is older but they havent said how old is he? I think he is probably in his mid-thirties as his sister is still single( assuming that they probably have 8-10 years difference) and Adi and he are very close( almost like good friends).

I love Vikram & Sugni... so i prefer Vikram and Sugni... So he should and would be the lead
So far i am not Sugni and Aditiya pair at all and never will. Sugni & Aditiya look like brother and sister then a pair...

hmm.. when the promo aired, I thought VB/Vikram is just like NS/Gulabiya.. someone's dad or something or like a mean Thakur just like the Jwala.. and the shadow man on horse was Adi!!!

but now the show has started, Vikram is a very strong, important, and brilliant character..Right now he is nothing like the promo..

Adi might be the lead of the show.. but the director can totally surprise us by not letting main lead and the leading lady fall in love😊

I am totally in for Vikram and Sugni!!!😃

adithya should be the main lead ..there is more chemistry between them ..Vikram is the more benevolent and kind man and that does not necessarily translate to chemistry

Dear Change 12,

you missunderstood my point, Iam not saying that it is not okay for a 40 year old to marry an 18 year old girl. But depending on the situation that the serial is showing, I may not find it compeltely wrong but I dont find it right either. Because PSH is about a change, Young bednis have always been with Takurs twice their age, Sugnis mom and Jwala for instance, she was 15-16 and he must have been atleast 40 also at the time he did Guls sardakai. I am saying that the writers are doing a fantastic job and I dont want any interference from the public so that they chnage their story, becuase public opinion isnot always the same and teherfore I want the wiriters to continue with their story as they have been in the Bedia Tribe and done some research before writing the script for the show, therefore they must have some good things in mind. I want to wait and watch first and then decide if VIk should be the male lead or Adi. But right now since the shows messsage is Change I am not a fan of vik and sugni jodi becuase of their age gap. And note this show is broadcasted all over India, not only in the cities where people are educated and understand that love is he most important thing in a relationship and that age is just a number. This show is watched by people in the rural villages, societies etc. It is my personal belief that the show might convey the wrong message, if it is okay for a 40 year old to marry an 18 yeral old girl then it must be okay for a 50 year old to marry a young girl also. People do get affected by the media, serials, movies. Keeping in mind that serials beautifys love to an extent that it gets unberable at times, there is sooo much exageration of love confessions, feelings, emotions etc etc and let us not talk about the background music and the camera movements. I dont want a serial that screams for a change in this tribe and tries to make people aware of the problems to beutify and exaggerate an 40 yera olds love for a just 18 yera old girl.
That is my opinion!!!!!!

@bold : I don't think that would be the point at all of the show. The issue is the bednis being in a situation where they are not allowed any choice about their situation. First, they do not get married. A 40 year old marrying an 18 year old is different from a fifty year old doing sardhakai of a 15 year old. The issue is sardhakai, which takes away the choice of marriage from the girl. The issue of the show is NOT age-gap ! I'm sure Jwala's son, the way he is going, will bring in a bedia girl one of these days, will that be okay cos he is a young guy? No, it'll still be wrong. So age is not the main issue here, be good if we stop harping on it.

The story might go that Vikram does Sugni's sardhakai at the panchayat in a mistaken attempt to protect her, and Aditya then marries her because he mistakenly believes his bhola-bhala mamaji is being trapped by a bedni. Some on this forum also have suggested this storyline. In this scenario, Vik's sardhakai would not be good for Sugni especially if he is married obviously, but Adi's forced marriage would be okay, because they will learn to love each other? The issue is that either way Sugni's choice will be lost. Of course the writers may surprise me and come up with an entire new story, I'd love it if this were not the same old, same old, hate turned to love story.

Also I think its a little simplistic to think that whatever is shown on a show will affect rural society majorly. Yes people do get affected by movies etc. Not just rural but urban people too. So should rural people not see movies in case they get affected? There are plenty of other shows in which much much worse stuff is shown, forced marriage, rapists getting married to their victims, have the rural societies accordingly regressed in the last decade?
