@Manzilmukul. Lol, i think its this understated power of Vikram's character and his dark sense of humour and sensibility that adds so much intrigue to his character. He saved Sugni without even raising a finger and she did feel for a few seconds later that she had let Vikram down who saw her in a good light otherwise.

I haven't seen Raai in my life but will love to - in real life. It must be such speedy grace.

Yup that's exactly what got my interest into the show as of now.Vikram's air of superiority as if he were born with it and at the same time his earthly charm causing a tug at heart...Contrastive juxtaposition!! Ain't It!!

And Yes Raai is indeed a very beautiful folk form and unlike shown in the show,it is a also part of performances in schools ,colleges and stuff ...Raai is supposed to be seductive and the circles have to be really swift😳

Yes their chemistry and pairing is good, but not in a romantic way.

Poco, it's so good to see a familiar "face" around here 🤗

I saw this post of yours two days ago and wanted to comment on it, but I was only of episode 5 at that time, so I decided to catch up on all the episodes before putting my thoughts down! But I am glad I came across this when I did, otherwise I would have felt like I was the only weirdo who was absolutely loving the Surgni/Vikram dynamic!

There is something about their equation, like you really aptly put, that is extremely intriguing and immediately pulls you in. Whether it be their sarcastic and lighthearted banter or her endless chatter that both intrigues and annoys him, every interaction that they've had so far has definitely had a spark to it. Plus, they're both playing off the chemistry with each other beautifully which makes their relationship endearing! It doesn't necessarily have to mean that this is going to lead into anything romantic (even though I would surprisingly not be opposed to that at all), but fire they're both showing is keeping me hooked!

He is not your typical Thakur and she is not a typical mouri, and their very first conversation really gave Vikram and insight as to what kind of a girl she was. When he saved her from the Thakurs in Friday's episode and she expressed her gratitude to him, telling him that he is not like the other Thakurs out there, he seemed almost disappointed in her when he told her that he thought she wasn't like the other girls either but he turned out to be wrong. I think he admires her resilience and out of the box thinking, that's why he stepped him and diffused the situation. And I have read that he is supposed to become a negative character as the show goes one, but with the entrance they have given him and the character sketch we're seeing right now, I think he will be more of a grey character, because I don't see him turning full on evil.

And seriously, this male lead, Anuj I think his name, really has some work cut out for him if he wants to create an immediate connection with Sugni and actually sell it to the audience! Varun has set the bar pretty high, he's been amazing, amazing, amazing and an extremely strong screen presence so far, so it's a big act to follow! I am not in any hurry for him to make an entrance though, I want the Sugni and Vikram dynamic to start building properly before Aditya's character is introduced!

strongly agree with u poco... may be vikram want to save her and also lover her in future thus try to save her by doing "sar dhakai" but it will just bad for their pairing as sugni will then totally disrespect him... ooo i really hate those time when this track will come in air... and obviously aditya will come then... till now i just love their pair...

I just marathon-ed the serial, and I must say I'm in awe and completely gleeful..(I don't think I have been so excited about an Indian serial since Gulaal).

Also, I agree with all the posts on this thread (great discussion, all!); and all of you have already said most of what I already wanted to. 😊

Vikram, to me, is a highly intriguing character, in that he can seem like a rather stock serial character on the surface, but has an edge of darkness that is rather unsettling (for now, I think he is somewhat grey). Varun plays him fabulously, and age seems to have brought him the severity you need for such a character (in terms of looks, at least). He's kind, but also cunning and underhanded and judgmental The frank and harsh way he (in my opinion, quite unjustifiably) berates Sugni after her Raai dance is spell-binding -- (and their chemistry hit me in the face right there!) He could easily have been a negative character, too; the ingredients are all there: rich, debased and corrupt Thakur comes to exact his revenge. I'm glad instead of that the CVs sketched out such a complex character, so I will disappointed if he is to be relegated to being just "The Villain" in the future.

Vikram and Sugni have an intense chemistry, no doubt about it; but I'm not a big fan of the notion that their relationship should necessarily translate to a romantic one, nor of that being as a father figure; mentor; foe or even friend. Not all relationships have to have titles or be clear-cut, some can be nameless and undefined and many things at once, yet be intense. And that's what I'd like to see in this case.

As of now, I'm just rooting for Sugni to be able to fulfill dreams -- so I want her to get she wants as her love -- what was it? -- educated, good-looking and from either Raipur or Gwalior. 😆

(This post is just basically me waxing poetical about Vikram! 😆 I must do it for the awesome and lovely Sugni soon; she's actually my main focus on the show.)

I think Sugni needs someone strong as per partner .. Vikram seems to fit the bill. All depends on the writers where they take it .. I hope they develop the story , they have a wonderful cast and all the characters have shown immense potential with their characters

Thanks for continuing the discussion guys, and i admit , that even though we all are divided on the to-be-romantic or not-to-be-romantic angle between Vikram and Sugni , we all are intrigued by their equation. Its such a heady mix of good and bad that you can't define it really.

BTW, the background score for Vikram is a KILLER.
