What I had reservations about in your whole post was a blanket statement made about "real" parents- that foster parents can't be good enough and match up to biological parents. Which is what I illustrated in my post.
As I clearly mentioned, I am not talking about Akshat alone. But foster parents/ authority figures/ parent figures in general.
I do agree that Ishita has been supportive of Shagun's biological bond with her children. But not all humans can be so broad-minded, no? I don't like Akshat- don't get me wrong, but if I have been a foster father to a boy for 8 years, and his biological father comes traipsing along, trying to negate my contribution to the child and his upbringing, I would be hurt. It's only too human.😳
The bottomline should be that even if your children's biological parent is alive, what matters at the end of the day is whether your children's interests are being upheld or not. Bottomline. End of story. To me Ishita has been remiss in that aspect because clearly, even when Shagun played a toxic role in their lives, she let her do her shite. I agree that it was fine to the extent when Ruhi was trying to bond with her mom. But when Shagun became a destructive force, she must have put her foot down.
And yes, if Akshat doesn't look after Ishaan's best interests, he clearly isn't a good parent either.
