my problem here is not biological father or akshat can be a good father or not...here the problem is akshat instigating ishu against abeer...his real father...who gave birth to him...ishu doesn't know the truth that abeer is his father...but akshat knows...what rights does he have to keep ishu away from abeer...he is the father...he has rights to bond with his son for a few moments...in that few moments abeer will live a lifetime in the happiness that he made some beautiful memories with his son...he is instigating ishu against abeer...this is not right...akshat is a fatherly figure to ishu and abeer is ishu's father...why can't ishu get both fathers love...why can't at least abeer gets the respect of being a father to ishu...yes he is impulsive...badtameez...drunkard...but he loves his son...he wants to compensate the 8 yrs where he was not with ishu...its a father's love...he just wants to meet and spend moments with his son...why the hell akshat trying to instigate ishu against abeer...meher is doing the same too...abeer has the right to meet ishu...spend few moments with him...why dominate the little boy not to talk...meet...play with his own father...

What I had reservations about in your whole post was a blanket statement made about "real" parents- that foster parents can't be good enough and match up to biological parents. Which is what I illustrated in my post.
As I clearly mentioned, I am not talking about Akshat alone. But foster parents/ authority figures/ parent figures in general.

I do agree that Ishita has been supportive of Shagun's biological bond with her children. But not all humans can be so broad-minded, no? I don't like Akshat- don't get me wrong, but if I have been a foster father to a boy for 8 years, and his biological father comes traipsing along, trying to negate my contribution to the child and his upbringing, I would be hurt. It's only too human.😳

The bottomline should be that even if your children's biological parent is alive, what matters at the end of the day is whether your children's interests are being upheld or not. Bottomline. End of story. To me Ishita has been remiss in that aspect because clearly, even when Shagun played a toxic role in their lives, she let her do her shite. I agree that it was fine to the extent when Ruhi was trying to bond with her mom. But when Shagun became a destructive force, she must have put her foot down.

And yes, if Akshat doesn't look after Ishaan's best interests, he clearly isn't a good parent either.

Exactly. Both Abeer and Akshat are riddled with faults. The former is impulsive, the latter, manipulative. At this juncture, I don't like either of them for Meher.

@Amri on a sidenote did you watch " Ek Tha Chander, Ek thi Sudha". It was so so beautiful. What a love story 😃
@Mages watch the movie Padheyam with English subtitles. You can see hostile take overs, emotional conflicts and everything in the movie. And above all why foster father wins over the biological father.

if i am meher and engaged to akshat...i would still let abeer to meet ishu...give him the visiting rights to meet his son whenever he wants...whatever happened in the past is past...we can't changed that...it happened...but i can give abeer the respect he deserves as a father to ishu...i would not want to stop akshat too from keeping ishu away from abeer...abeer has rights on ishu...he can spend and cherish beautiful moments with ishu...so does akshat...

Exactly my point- which is that, both Akshat and Abeer's rights can't be negated at this point. They'll possibly have to decide on the nuances of the custody later. At this point, both of them have to respect each other's existence.
