Today epi proved BD is everyway loosely adapted from Sidney Sheldon's classic novel Rage of Angels. The complex relationship the protoganist Jennifer Parker has with Adam and Micheal Moretti makes you sit at one corner with the book and you don't get up till you finish it. The book is also the kind of basis for Malayalam movie Rajavinte Makan which made Mohan lal a overnight super star.
Jennifer Parker loves and trusts Adam a lot, but for his political career he ditches her that too pregnant. Jennifer with no work at that point is forced to take support from Michael Moretti a gangster. Adam goes in his career as a politician, while Jennifer has the child in secrecy and shares a complex relation with Michael Moretti. What happens when again their paths cross forms the remaining of the story and it has nail biting climax.
Here Meher loved Abeer, only to be left alone by him, Akshat comes in and take charge. Just like Jennifer Meher's relationship dynamics is also complex.
Both Adam and Micheal has grey shades and both of them are powerful in their own ways. Same is the case with Abeer and Akshat. Both have their share of good and bad, both are powerful in their own ways.
Though Micheal Moretti takes the cake in the novel, and even in Rajavinte Makan it is Vincent Gomez Moretti's equivalent that walks away with the honors, BD has not clearly defined who Michael Moretti is.
Abeer has the charm of Moretti, but then the solidness, firmness and concerned part of Moretti is given to Akshat.
I know they cannot make Akshat Moretti, because if he is made Moretti he will walk away with honors even in loss, because that was the character sketch of Micheal Moretti by Sheldon.
But doesn't matter who is Moretti because the show is becoming really amazing. And I am thankful it is in hotstar. Because in TV TRP aunty will never be able to appreciate a Jennifer Parker, Michael Moretti tho door door ki baat hai.
But in webseries I hope we can enjoy the powerful sketch created by Sheldon for his iconic characters.

This is sounds interesting. I dont mind if they show both Akshat and Abheer a bit grey instead of making Akshat grey and Abheer the nicest person on the planet cause he is the hero. I hope they show Akshat as a nice guy till the end and he doesnt team up with Kuber, then only the show will be different, If you see Akshat has done a lot by being a father figure to Ishaan, they shouldnt ruin that by making him a psycho creep who has been after Meher for the past 8 years since there is no TRP pressure on them to show cliched tracks where the Hero is always the hero.

Exactly bebo. I want the greyness in both characters, not complete black and white. Then only we will also feel that yes situations make us take decisions. Not all decisions are right, some can go wrong. And not every person is bad, but they are human. And in a web series it is acceptable, because most of the people in the forum are open. They are not expecting white washing or character butchering, but are looking forward to a well scripted story.

Totally!! Hope the CVs listen and do something different. I really like characters, when they are shown real and not either black or white as is the case in most hindi television shows. If CVs take this route i'll love them. i am so bored of shows where the main leads characters are close to perfect or if they have flaws in them it will be justified with a sob story. i know this is expecting way too much but Thoda sa ,realism would be good enough.
