COMPUNCTION
Every time I look in those eyes ,
I see something unsettling ,
I see hesitation ,
A ray of hope
And yet something ..probing,
He sat beside her, clasping her pale hands, in hopes of reviving her, reviving their long lost "Fairytale". *fairytale... who are you kidding * his inner voice mocked him as he slowly drifted into his worse nightmare" The Fateful night"that changed everything !! He could still remember that storming rage , the thunderous clouds , those heavy rains, he could still feel that storm building inside him, blinding him completely...what he could never ever forget about that night though was not that rain, nor that storm , it was those eyes!! Those unsettling eyes trying hard to make him believe what he saw/ heard wasn't true, there's more to it, they pleaded , but he wouldn't budge , he wouldn't listen, he couldn't, everything pointed towards the obvious!!

8 yrs , that incident took away 8 precious years of their lives and still the misunderstandings, the hatred continued ,he'd of course pondered over a lot and tried to start afresh ,but in vain ,he was too late.. it was all over...the glass was shattered.
The unbearable silence ,the beeping machines around her almost lifeless body reminded him yet again of the fact that he'd been too late , too late to retrace his path ...those pleading eyes haunted him, he remembered how he'd made life miserable for her at Groove Station , the 8 day challenge, the media gimmick, he'd always had a trick up his sleeve, not to particularly annoy but just to ...be with her, he tried hating her more than once but his heart ripped that part of him apart...why...why can't I hate you...he'd once screamed in frustration!! And Today , life with its twisted sense of humor forced him to question...why couldn't I love you enough to believe in you!! To believe in your love, to believe in everything we ever had!!
Why!!!!!!!!!! He cried in anguish, as if to answer his question her eyes flickered , her hands twinged and he couldn't help but smile, " after every dark night, there's a bright morning sunshine"
We had been soulmates once,
