"Bullshit!" Meher said in a matter of fact tone. "If you honestly think that she didn't have a clue who she was kissing in the middle of the night, then you're an even bigger idiot than I had thought you were."
"Meher, she said she didn't know na." Abeer tried defending.
"How did she not know? Does she not know how you look? Does she not know what cologne you use? Or how you feel or how you taste?" Meher questioned.
Abeer hung his head low as he took in her words. He didn't want to believe her but when she questioned him like that, he couldn't help but think otherwise.
"Abeer, she's just using you okay. She wants to use you for your money, your status, your image and your reputation. She has got you wrapped around her fingers so badly that you can't even see straight." Meher said.
"And you knew?" He asked with a heavy heart.
Meher clenched her teeth.
"This was your personal matter and I didn't want to get involved." She said softly. "Besides, even if I had said otherwise, would you have believed me?"
"Yeah." Abeer whispered. "I'm believing you now aren't I?"
He gave her a broken smile with his arms spread wide.
Meher clenched her fingers as she attempted to stop herself from crying herself.
From the way Abeer walked away, Meher knew he was crying.
