I Expected Much More From Badtameez Dil - Suyyash Rai

The good looking and talented actor singer Suyyash Rai is clearly disappointed with the early low TRP (1.4) of his Star Plus show Phir Bhi Na Maane..Badtameez Dil.

He makes no bones about his feeling saying," I expected much more. One reason for the lower then expected numbers could be the new ratings system BARC, which is still confusing. Some shows like Saath Nibhana Saathiya under the old TAM system were rating as high as 7.5 but they have come down to below 4 now, so in that scenario, our number could have been a decent 3 if TAM was still there.

Having said that it is ok for the channel is not unduly worried, Things turn sour if ratingS fall below 1 TVR no wonder a show like Dosti.. Yariyaan.. Manmarzian went off the radar in a matter of few months."

Here Suyyash Rai who is also trying to establish himself in Bollywood as well informs us, "that the creative's are making attempts to lift the ratings. One possible solution could be to incorporate more family drama into the youth love story, let's face our TV watching audiences are slightly more elder woman who seem to still love saas bahu stuff and a show need numbers to sustain itself. But I wish to reassure our viewers we will not go the over the top way, we will show what conflicts happen in any Indian family in the most natural way. Also our emphasis will remain on the love story between (Pearl V Puri) Abeer and Meher (Asmita Sood)."
Ask Suyyash Rai why youth show just dont rock wel, "I guess our target audiences are never at home in the late evening, busy with other stuff. They mostly seem to check out their favorite shows online. Pearl had even made a request to the fans on Twitter to watch the show at the original time slot but alas."

Tv Star Suyyash Rai who earlier done shows like Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani and Kya Huaa Tera Vaada etc also admitted that there is no connection between online response and TRP," had that happened youth shows would be topping the charts. Also, the lead actors of most high ranking shows like Diya Aur Baati Hum and Saathiya dont much crazy fan following on Twitter and Facebook."

Good interview and candid too. He is right in saying some melodrama is needed without impacting the overall story line as TRP too is needed to sustain itself.
