Reason for their separation

What could be the reason for their separation and eventual divorce. Meher doesn't seem to really despise Abeer and Abeer seems to blame Meher for the divorce. But what could be the reason...?



Here are some speculations floating around the web--

- Abeer's lack of maturity and Meher's want for stability. In short, clash of ideologies between the two.
- contrived misunderstandings implanted by Abeer's dad
- Some major incident that might have triggered Meher's decision for divorce...an affair on Abeer's part?🤓 but that seems very unlikely though.
- Abeer threatened Meher about revealing her "true" side to her family..does that mean he thinks she's an opportunist. May be there was an unplanned pregnancy and Meher decided to abort as she wasn't ready while Abeer took that as her being heartless. 😕

I have a feeling that Abeer's dad was the reason behind their divorce. He did something which probably affected both MehBeer in a bad way and made it seem like Meher was behind money. I am waiting for them to unfold the reason behind their divorce.

Agree with both of you guys and your points. That's what I think might have happened too.
Abeer's dad seems like one of those with superiority complex and arrogance. He might not have liked Meher's social standing at that time and from what we saw of her dad so far, it would have played an effect on him too. Meher's dad seems like a greedy person and so, Abeer's dad might have misjudged her based on that and other things. Then, there might have been problems between Abeer and his dad regarding financial stuff and Meher not wanting Abeer to depend on his dad post their marriage. His dad might have filled his ears with stuff like Meher married him for his dad's business and all.

Either way, Abeer seems to blame Meher and Meher doesn't protest Abeer and his constant alimony jabs. Wonder why?

Also, Abeer doesn't seem to be on good terms with his dad in the first place. Even in today's episode, in the flashback he halted Nissar from mentioning his dad while he introduced Abeer to Meher for the first time.
Somehow, I feel as if Meher never really took the alimony money. Her bua, being a divorce attorney, might have claimed alimony but Meher never agreed to take it. But then, why doesn't she protest? What holds her back while he goes on blaming her?

Maybe your'e right about the alimony and her bua.As for why Meher doesn't protest.I think Meher is a quiet and private person by nature.She doesn't seem to hate Abeer as he does but rather i think she's hurt in her own way.Abeer only knows how to deal with his hurt by anger while i think meher deals with it by looking forward.Though hurt by the past i think Meher has accepted whatever happened between her and abeer and is trying to move on

it's good to see such self confidence in a female character on this channel. Meher isn't shown to be moping around or shedding ounces of tears after the past. She thinks about it each time Abeer provokes a memory/ incident but then moves forward. Abeer, on the other hand, is still very much stuck 8 years ago. He hasn't been able to let go or at least even put up a pretense of letting go.
