The '8 years ago' conundrum

Both Abeer and Meher implied that they divorced 8 years ago, correct?

But then, Abeer mentioned in the "show" that the love story (the one he's narrating) began 8 years ago. So, did they meet 8 years ago, got married the same year and even divorced the very same year?!😳
The non linear style is interesting but they need to clarify their timeline in a better way somehow. They're doing a good job interjecting the "past" with the current progress in Abeer-Meher's story. From what they've disclosed so far, it seems Abeer's lack of maturity and inherent impulsiveness along with his dad's interference, might have led to their separation. Meher seems more practical and balanced. May be her pragmatic thinking clashed with Abeer's way of life.
Either way, had it been clash of ideologies or some other problems, one wouldn't meet, marry and divorce in the same year unless there was something more...like maybe Meher got pregnant and thus they decided to marry in the same year. Then, maybe something major happened which escalated their problems amongst one another and thus, they divorced that same year.

Any other speculations from your end?

lol true, they should've kept that in mind. besides, these episodes were probably shot way before the show's actual airing. Either way, those mistakes can be ignored but would like to see the main stuff clarified. Did they just meet 8 years ago and divorced some years later?
I guess they just want us to keep speculating while they reveal stuff bit by bit. May be that way, it holds the "intrigue" factor.

Also what I found funny was if they were in college 8 years ago then the songs that the people were singing at the auditions in today's episode were from much more recent and not from 8 years ago lol. How could they make such a mistake in the beginning episodes. Oh and the beats by dre headphones (that abeer was wearing) were launched in 2008 and the college scenes are from 2007 hahaha.

Her outfits are business casuals and besides, she works at a music channel and not in some corporate sector. Her outfits are actually trendy and decent enough. Most non-corporate work places are quite informal and thus casual dressing up is acceptable. She dresses up her age.

I found that funny too but little mistakes happen and I think we shouldn't try to always use logic with these shows as they're fiction. But it would be helpful if they could clear up the timeline a bit

even I agree the timeline is all messed up in episode-7 nissar told that since 2006 or something uff the timeline is soo confusing may be they married in mahers first year.

Timeline is never correct in our daily soaps.makers don't bother about it.Mahbeer luv story began eight years ago,they married n their divorce also happened eight years ago.thats what they r saying till now.So much happened in that year.All these things at least needs a full year.then how can they say eight yearsago.kam se kam 7 saal pahle to kahte. Cvs need to clarify this time line.How can every thing happen eight years ago.

Actually, they might have divorced 8 years ago. Then, going by that, they should've said that the love story began 9 years ago or something. Either way, lets see if they eventually provide a clarification about the timeline in a better way rather than resorting to the typical error one might see in other shows.
