Raj is talking about winning everyyoneeee in the family, not only his dad. And it is hard to please everyone, wat if they don't agree then wat?? poor Priyanka will be left heart broken.

after watching all the episode, i just think all the people in PB have little bit of fakeness in them, but Raj-Pri do look like they genuinely like each other. So i would also like them to get marry.

If the whole extended family has to agree with your choice, you will never have a marriage. Unless something is very wrong with Raj's choice, only his mom and dad are the only one that count, other extended members in the family are usually happy that their brother and his wife likes their sons choice.

In most cases tayaji is brought in because the Raj's dad doesn't like the girl and he is bringing tayaji as an excuse and wants their help in rejecting the girl. In other words tayaji, bhuaji choice are just excuses for politely turning down the girl.
