i think its a matter for raj and his family coz they live together in one house ... and it will get awkward for everyone if the extended family doesnt agree.

Extended family openion does matter specially if they are in the same town and if the objections are too voceforous and strong. I think in this case most are aking the family to either find the authenticity of the news or backout.

i think they live together in one house .. thats what is referred to as joint family in atleast punjab . that all tayaji and chachaji's families live together in one house ...

so its not really extended family

yeah and even raj was saying that the rumours that were one are one of the biggest issues he is having to get his family approval

Yeap..then it makes sense. Perhaps, they also share a joint business or something
Anyway, in nuclear families, the scenario is different. In my family as well as in many families I know, ultimate decision makers are only the parents. I would hate it to see too many people giving in too many opinions.

They live together but on different floor and have their own kitchens etc. at least that is what Raj described to Pri sister. It is not living in one house together..it is one building and each have their own distinct floor. ..When sons are old then they have their own building and floor.

Raj's father is not living with his dad's brothers, similarly Raj will live with his siblings not with his dad's brothers all his life.

I don't know one joint family in which all members have similar choice or each one get along with everybody.

Agreed. But Priyanka also emphasizes that they will get married either on the show or outside if voted out. But I guess mentioning "three weeks" may portray them in a negative light. Is that correct?

I had a love marriage, the day I told my father, he talked to my father in law on the phone and they both decided that we were getting married within a month....... then my parents called all their relatives who areVERY close to us, NOT TO ASK, but TO TELL them that i was getting married to such and such guy.........same thing with my in laws family, they decided, then told all the uncles and aunties that our son will be getting married with such and such girl....our parents met when we had a small roka ceremony....... come on if the parents agree, no one else should matter.

Sweety, I had a love marriage with a guy from my community. But, in the end when it came to getting married, apart from my husband's mother and father, we did not seek anyone else's approval. Tayaji etc are a part of extended family. They can impose their thoughts on their own children but not on their nephew. Even for Raj, apart from his dad and mom, none else's opinion should matter. All these things are mere excuses and if some guy would have told me off from marrying citing reasons as above, I would know that the guy is dilly dallying and playing it safe.

raj livesin a joint family and if u can do it it doesn't mean that the whole world thinks like u diffrent ppl haeve diffrent opinions from the day 1 raj's mom said that he is a family oreinted guy
