Just thought I would start a discussion on these three characters. What do you like/don't like about them most? What things have they done that have stuck with you? I kinda see all 4 of these characters the same way so I thought I'd group them together :)

I adore the Mansi/Shashank couple. Probably my favorite couple in the entire show. They are exceptional characters both individually and together. They care for others selflessly, are genuinely kind people, and are well grounded in their values. They don't care for wealth or power and only the happiness of their family. We barely see them ever complain about anything and they happily cherish all the good things in their life.

MANSI
Despite all that Pari has said and done, Mansi still cares for her and values Pari as a member of her family. She doesn't wish anything bad to happen to her and instead tries to gently encourage her to see the good things in her life. This is important because she sees the bigger picture in things. She doesn't blindly side with her sister Ankita, but also wants things to work out for Pari. In this way, she differs from Prashant. Mansi is calm and collected but doesn't hesitate to stand up for what she believes is right either. She's very dedicated to her family and I feel she has raised her younger siblings to the same extent as, if not more than, Ankita. Although Ankita loves her family and played an essential role in raising them and providing for them financially, I still can't get over her disregard for them in the last 5 years. She only thought about Naren, Naren, Naren. Mansi/Prashant on the other hand brought her up almost every episode they were shown in after she left.

SHASHANK
Shashank has always supported Mansi and her siblings as his own even before marriage. His character has been very consistent in doing what is right and not caring about how society may find something to be. Unfortunately in society rape victims are stigmatized and seen as impure. Shashank never thought twice about marrying Mansi or even considered the rape as a factor in deciding whether or not to marry her. He's loved her the same as before and saw the rape for what it was: something she had no control over. Not only did he accept Mansi, but also her child as his own. He is truly a gem of a person. Another thing is that even though he was in love with Ankita, after he committed to Mansi, he never thought of Ankita in that way again. Ankita should take note of that and realize how she would ultimately only be hurting Ranvijay if she doesn't move on from Naren after committing to him. By getting engaged and yet only thinking of Naren, she would be unfair to Ranvijay.

PRASHANT
Prashant is a great guy but he's impulsive. I don't completely blame him though since Pari hasn't treated him or his siblings well. However he is much more easily provoked than Mansi/Shashank. I feel like a love triangle may surface between him, Gaurav, and some poor soul lol. Obviously Prashant is the better choice for any girl but still they will drag it.

TEJU
Who doesn't love Teju? I'm glad she's getting more screen space than she was. She's a strong character who has been sidelined for awhile. I want her to know more about what Pari/Naren/Rushali have done. I'm glad she's close to Mansi. She's a character who has always sided with what's right. I think she will be a great support to Ankita. She can help catch her up on whats been going in their company. She's a fair, ethical person. She's not afraid to expose wrongdoers.

Anyways how do you guys feel about these characters?

Everything you said is true. I especially like Shashank as he has always supported Mansi and has never treated her less than if he had married Ankita. Being able to accept a child who was not his in the way he did was also heroic than compared to Naren. Naren loves his child but he is not instilling values and morals in her. She does what she wants and gets away with it and the only one to blame are her "parents".

Agree with everything to you said, especially about Shashank.

I think he should be the main lead of this show. I have not liked the fickle,
two-timing, and cowardly male lead characters we have had. I think Shashank is the type of person who should be called the lead not Naren.

Nice post cynthia32, I also like Mansi, Shashank, Prashant and Teju, they're all very good characters. Shashank and Mansi are very soft, kind and Prashant seems to be more of the protective person of his sister Ankita, he is very harsh on anyone who does anything to her, but Mansi and Shashank are more neutral. I like how Prashant is always there for Ankita, and Teju too for always supporting whoever's right, she is one character who has not been negative and neither have Prashant, Mansi and Shashank. I like the Mansi-Shashank couple a lot, as a poster said above, I wish Shashank was the main lead of the show and not Naren. Naren has been awful to Ankita and so has Arjun been to Ovi, I wud have to say Arjun is probably the worst main lead of the show because he cheated Ovi a lot and gave her false hopes but was always thinking about Purvi all the time and never worked on his marriage with Ovi, Ovi always got very hurt and betrayed by Arjun.
