What sort of a hero is Naren? :-S

Post recovery Naren, the REAL Naren Karmarkar, is probably the worst hero of PR by the CV's. Ever. Do you agree?

1.) No good romantic scenes with either Pari nor Ankita. While the scenes with Ankita had one sided romance with Ankita weeping mostly, the romance with Pari had little substance. All they did was to eat Pizza and discuss/fight about Ankita and her baby.😕

2.) He never got a chance to be the 'knight in shining armour' wala hero for either Ankita or Pari. In fact, it's both the girls and his Mom who constantly made sacrifices and adjusted/compromised for his sake. Or did he, and I can't remember? Today for the first time he saved Pari but for the wrong thing and ended up looking like a villain.

3.) No character building post leap- We really don't know properly how the original Naren was. If at all we got anything, it was negative not positive.

4.) He has been continuously depicted as a loser. Pari was right today, he is no genius. He lost his company, his house, although it is wrong to blame him for the loss of his child as it was fully unintentional and he suffered too, but the way the creatives tried to show it, somewhere his driving caused him to lose his unborn child.

5.) His morals don't impress. While on one hand, he says he doesn't want to take anything from Manav and build things on his own, on the other hand, he and Pari together plan to steal the company from under Manav's nose. How is he a 'good' person then. And let me not even start with what he did with Ankita and Rannvijay today.

5.) He is always helpless. He doesn't want to cheat Manav, but does it. Why? I am helpless. He doesn't want to win the case by paying money, but does it. Why? I am helpless.

6.) The only appealing thing about him is his love for Ashi. But even there, he fails to balance priorities and relationships.

This character is really no hero IMHO. Shashank, despite having so little screen time and space in the track is much more of a hero than Naren. Similarily Rannvijay has been able to woo audiences in a short while. Naren on the other hand has absolutely nothing going for him. No wonder no one is even rooting for Anken anymore.

If the creatives really intend to unite Ankita and Naren (as they have indicated by making Pari negative), then they need to at least TRY and do something to make him appeal to the audience again, the way the pre recovery Naren appealed to everyone, rather than just making his character more loser like. (Not that it would redeem him but still at least they can stop making him worse!) The previous couples of PR did mistakes and hurt each other but still people somewhere hoped they would be together in the end. But here, it isn't so. 😕

I made this point (the one you quoted) bcos it is a general fear that everyone in this forum has that creatives will end up uniting Ankita-Naren, it's a speculation that everyone has made at least once, especially with the whole scenario of showing Ankita keeping fasts for Naren, making Pari negative and showing Naren as the loving father. So I said, that IF the creatives intend to unite Naren, they need to atleast TRY and put in something to make him appeal to the audiences as a HERO. So far, there is ABSOLUTELY nothing. In fact, they are just making him more and more unbearable every day. I am actually surprised why they are doing so.

No one wants to see Ankita go back to Naren .I used to love Anken but the way Naren treated Ankita , selfish and insensitive manner

Naren is not a hero. But as a viewer I do not see it as a setback if Ankita is shown to move on in life. Not everyone is lucky to get a hero in the first time itself. There are many women who believe that they have married the love of their life, but their husbands turn out to be anything but prince charming. I think it will wonderful if Ankita and Ranvijay are shown to have 'Pavitra Rishta'. It will send out the message that it is not necessary that the first relationship that you go through in life is the purest of relationships. Women can and should get out of bad marriages and that they have every right to find a good partner for themselves. Lead heroines should be shown being empowered enough to leave relationships which are not worth continuing. Ankita and Naren story is not a love story. But there are women like Ankita who continue to love their husbands despite how they treat them. And there are men like Naren who do not value their wives and leave them for other women. Ankita should be shown to get over a man like Naren and find a new partner for herself. What she went through with Naren was not Pavitra Rishta, but that does not end her chance to have a beautiful marriage with another man.

Nice post Niki, I completely agree. Naren is no hero at all, especially today he used money to win the court case. Naren knows very well that he is wrong, but he still chose to bribe the police and everyone to win the case, he was equally responsible for crashing into Ranvijay as much as Pari was. I dont think Ankita will ever go back to Naren now, now she truly dislikes him for what he did to Ranvijay. The only time when I thought Naren was a hero was when he presented all of the proofs against Raunaq to get him punished and get Mansi justice but the new Naren is very selfish, its only others who are making sacrifices for him, Naren always gets what he wants. I just hope Ankita doesnt feel bad for Naren for the way Pari is treating him and then goes back to him, I liked how she was talking to Ranvijay today in the last scene, I think she will soon start to love him.

The only scenes which I enjoy ( of Naren ) are the ones which have him playing with Aashi .. credit goes to the child artist who is damn cute and the fantastic chemistry she shares with her on screen daddy ...

Tanya Di i also like the scenes of Naren and Ashi, Ashi is my favorite character on PR. Naren is definitely a horrible person but I give him a little credit for being a nice father to Ashi. But before he sold the house he shud have thought a little bit about Ashi, she has to leave everything behind only due to Naren.
