I don't understand what Ankita is trying to prove or what direction the creatives are trying to take her character.
Ankita married Naren when he was mentally unstable - she was well aware of that fact but at the time she figured sacrificing her personal happiness would help her family - her younger siblings. I can see how that would be a difficult decision to take - where you willingly marry a person who believes you to be someone else and chances of him becoming "normal" seemed slim. I had a lot of respect for Ankita at the beginning of the leap. She was a present day version of her granny Archana - the same self sacrificing nature, honesty and caring.
The Ankita we see today surprises me. Granted the situation Ankita/Naren/Pari are in was beyond anyone's control... Ankita based on the bits of information she gathered figured "Ahana" was no more. Granted when she married Naren she was not in love with him but she gave her marriage a fair chance and fell in love with Naren's kind nature, tenderness and childlike innocence.
Naren - he lost his mental stability when Ahana was in the car fire and time stopped there for him. Enter Ankita who he believes is his Ahana and is responding positively to her presence.
Pari - thought Aman aka Naren ditched her, cheated her - then she realized that he lost his mental stability in that accident but is currently married to Ankita.
This is where I have issues with how the story progressed. When Naren learned the truth that he doesn't remember the last 2 years and was pursing Pari as his Ahana - Pari was rightfully resisting his advances. It's traumatic enough as is for her to deal with this reality.
I liked Pari's maturity at that point - she understood that while Naren was stuck in time, in today's time and reality he is married to Ankita.
What Ankita is doing now makes zero sense. She lied to Pari and Naren by saying she only married Naren for the money. Mansi figured out Ankita is pregnant and told Pari (not sure if she should have or not) Naren doesn't want to believe that he had any relationship with Ankita and is denying the baby's paternity. Ankita is behaving like some sappy 1960s heroine - she's madly in love with Naren is pregnant with his child but can't seem to find it in her heart and mind to TELL him the truth. Cause in EK land - logic is non existent of course.
Kudos to EK for ruining yet another show and story line.
