But as already pointed out in the thread itself, not much people seem to be interested to do that... Of course I have seen the threads being opened; the threads which iniitially seem to be opened for the purpose you have highlighted. But when the thread doesn't move in a desired speed or gain momentum, then the fandom of " the characters or actors whose track have already ended" are provoked or instigated...

And INTIMIDATION??? Seriously???? This is an open democratic Forum. ANYONE can post or make threads for their favourites and discuss about them... You cannot hold those who are active for the passiveness or nonchalance to discuss the present generation and their story... Surely neither are the active ones going to pounce on those who discuss the current generation ( of course as long as it doesn't instigate them) nor is there the thread limitations such that the active ones are not letting others to have the desired number of thread quota...

And no this is not a classroom. The passive ones come face to face with the active ones in the classroom. Hence they might feel intimidated. But this being the virtual Forum, the members don't come face to face with each other, hence there is no question of intimidation...

Threads remain on the first or the second page depending upon the quantum of discussion happening on them and not because the members having their thoughts in the threads on second or even third pages are intimidated by those having discussions in the threads at the first page...

As it is a public Forum one cannot say that a certain thread should remain at the first page or should be relegated into the second one... Just my thoughts, not a debate again...

@nura - 👏 the most apt answer this thread could get . seriously no body is a kid here , people can have their own discussions and celebration . if others dont want to participate then there's nothing we can do . i know that the thing was directed towards the arvi/ashvik threads . i dont understand even other actorswho have left the show and are settled somewhere else even they have their threads here , then why a problem with ashvik. ooops my mistake i was asking a question on equality for ashvik in this forum🥱

Thank you for your thoughts Bitasta. But I would like to politely re-direct attention to my sentence

"But it is likely that as in many group discussion situations, especially in classrooms, where some students feel intimidated since others are very active."

I used the words "likely" and and "feel intimidated". "Likely" suggests possibility and not certainty. I am not saying that this is the case. I am only saying that it is possible that it is the case. Further, "feeling intimidated" and "being intimidated" are two completely different things. The first suggests the perception of the person/s who feels that way and the second suggests the intention of the person/s who want to intimidate. I have not attributed intentions to anyone. I have not blamed anyone and even clarified that "this does not mean that the very active ones were in the wrong to begin with." This was to make sure to convey that I am not finding anything wrong with any group.

Also, yes, of course, this is not a classroom. But many group discussions are like that. You do have a point in that there is no face to face conversation here. But people can think whether their comments will get attention in groups where focus of many comments is different.

I made a very general request for limiting or consolidating (and not stopping) appreciation threads of "past actors or characters" asking for consideration of members. As I see it, it is a matter of being thoughtful and not of right and wrong or having the right to express or not having the right to express. I can keep on giving explanations about what I never intended and it may never suffice. But I will say one more time (even though I said I will not respond) that mine was a very general request and my comments at any point never blamed anyone.

I can only say that I will minimize my own visits to the forum if I feel (again I use the word "feel") that for every comment I make I have to keep giving explanations. And of course, I would not blame anyone for that too. That would entirely be my choice.

Take care

Thank you for the reply muse10...
Sorry if my post sounded rude to you... I never intended to do so...

Coming to the topic of intimidation... again I'd like to point out that being passive/nonchalant/indifferent should not be equated with being/feeling intimidated..

As you have aptly brought in the analogy of GROUP DISCUSSION, surely if a group wanting to discuss the current storyline is not big or active enough, the blame or accountability doesn't go to the bigger or more active group wanting to discuss something else within the Forum's COC...

It was extremely considerate of you to not want active group to cease the discussion completely. Thank you... But having said so, the discussion has to begin and gain momentum if the thread discussing current story line, cast and characters are to remain at the first page... Not the fault of active ones if it is not happening... Even if we consolidate the threads as you have suggested, the current happening would not come to the first page automaticlly IF there is not enough interest or activeness to discuss the current story, plot or characters...

You had made a general comment, we had given in the general comments too... There was no bad blood... If general comments are dissected such a way, then the interpretation can also be made that the active ones should leave the Forum---PRONTO, should not come to the Forum or limit the visit to perhaps only once a week... So no need for anyone to leave the Forum owing to a general response...

Nice talking to you...

Regards, and take care...

I think the @TM only wanted to share her point of view. she only gave general statements and clearly said that it is a request...
why take it as a personal attack toward a particular actor or a fan group?

"General statement" was directed to "characters and actors whose tracks have ended" it is so obvious that it is being referred to a particular fan group.

"Request" to have fewer appreciation threads for "characters and actors whose tracks have ended" - Where is the consideration here? Where is the courtesy here?

Why no request is made to encourage members to open more threads on current actors/characters? This would have been more appropriate.

Its like asking one fan group not to come here.
I dont know why articulation is one of the biggest problem in this forum.
Ask fans of current track/actors/character to open more thread. If they r not getting enough comnents that is not fault of actors who left the show or their fans.

If current actors r working hard it does not mean actors who left the sho were not working hard.

And if mods have no problem and i guess there is no such rule that u cant talk about actors who r no more part of the show then i guess no members has right to request such thing.

Its public forum and fans of actors who left the show never asked others not to post or not to open thread or not to discuss and they expect same from others.

This is a public forum and theres no such rule that u cannot discuss abt particluar actors in the forum who have left the show! We fans are not stopping any fans of current generation from posting in the forum or sharing their views and opinions...If they are not taking active part in current track discussion then how is this our fault?
Encourage fans of current generation to take active part in episode discussion instead of making such requests!
