Some girls have all the luck.
Besides having an extremely indulgent boyfriend in actor Sushant Singh Rajput, even mentor Ekta Kapoor seems to have a soft spot for Ankita Lokhande, the blue eyed girl of Balaji Telefilms. All she has to do it to voice her grievances and she's immediately pacified.
First, Ankita had problems with graying when Pavitra Rishta went for its second big leap in 2013. She took a three month break from the show and negotiated with the production house with the promise of a meatier role in the leap that was planned. So, she's playing her own grand daughter in the show and has the storyline focused on her.
Then she had problems sharing screen time with Asha Negi with whom she shared cold vibes. For the uninitiated Asha played Ankita's daughter in the show and had a fabulous screen Jodi with Rithvik Dhanjani. Again, the frosty work vibes apparently took its toll and Asha and Rithvik who were busy with other shows as well chose to quit the show last month.
And now that the show is shifting to an early evening band (6.30 pm) to make way for Ekta's new show, Kumkum Bhagya, Ankita who had once again threatened to quit has been appeased again. A love track is being designed on her and Karan Mehra who plays her mentally challenged husband in the show. It seems Karan's character, Naren will become normal and there will be a lot of romance coming up between the lead couple.
If only Ankita could get some TRPs also for her show, that would be the icing on the cake
