Rithvik Dhanjani and Asha Negi's Pavitra' journey ends!

You heard it right guys! It is time to say a warm good bye to Rithvik Dhanjani and Asha Negi, the lovely couple from Pavitra Rishta, which paved the way to the hearts of the viewers in no time.

An online entertainment tabloid quoted a source from the sets as saying that the couple will be exiting from the show sans any hullabaloo. How, you ask?

Well, here's how.

Rithvik's character Arjun, who is suffering from blood clot in his brain, will be flying off to a foreign land for surgery accompanied by his wifey Purvi (Asha).

The thought of leaving the show did not occur of Rithvik-Asha all of a sudden. In fact, word has it that they have been thinking of taking a break from the show for a while now. The couple will be working on their farewell scene which will be aired soon.

The tabloid also added that the creative team of the show is yet to finalize the fate of Arjun and Purvi on the show. The team is still mulling over to replace the characters or bring them to an abrupt end for good. However, there is no bad blood between the show makers and the actors in question were given a heartfelt adieu by the cast and crew.

That said, we think that no matter wherever Rithvik and Asha go, whatever work they choose to do, the show that brought them close will always remain special to them. And, of course, their overwhelming win of the Nach Baliye 6 trophy this year will remain a remarkable memory forever!

What a very sweet picture...thanks for sharing it ashfaque. I can't believe they would think of replacing the actors...it usually doesn't work, and if the show is ending soon, then why? I'm not sure how they would bring them to an "abrupt end" . What does that mean?

The best scenario would be to shoot a bunch of scenes showing them happy with their lives and with Pari etc. that could be tucked in now and then. Just fillers ...otherwise how do you abruptly end a main character? I guess they did that to ArMan though. Just aren't there anymore. sigh.

Give me the script please, i can write it. heehee 😆

What you have written here would have indeed been the most apt ending for ARVI, but inconsistencies and then abruptness have been the trademarks of Arvi's tracks.. especially since the initial 6 months and then the recent 18 years leap..

@ Bold : Word.. We know you are a WONDERFUL writer. Can only imagine how beautifully Arvi's story would be had you been the script writer..

I'm late to the party... but hey accept my compliments along with that of others for that wonderful writing. Please, keep giving us more...

Thanks for sharing the Article. I am glad to know that they have taken a right decision. They were too nice to took this long to finally quit otherwise they should have left long ago in my opinion. They have immensely high talents in them and we know that they will going to grab lots of great projects in the future. I also do hope that this time PR team and Ekta will give a proper closure to their journey. My heart is sinking while writing this down because I don't know how much we would have to wait to see them onscreen again. Ashvik were the ones who made all of us fall for them as Arvi but PR's poor creativities didn't do justice to their respective characters. But Never the less, Arvi will always going to live in my heart and will always be really special. God Bless Ashvik. From now on they will always going to climb high! Love you guys tons!

Yes, definitely heart breaking because we can get to watch them on small screen together when there is no NB

but happy at the same time, they deserve better treatment (role) than this

All the best for future, hoping to see more of their work

Thanks so much ashvikluverr and bitasta for your confidence in my script writing ! 😃 I guess i missed the try-outs !! 😆 But if I WERE the script writer I know i would want to do two things: 1) Maintain the integrity of the characters, including consistency in both plot and personalities and 2) respect the viewers for whom I would be writing, regarding it as a responsibility to taken seriously...to provide a meaningful and moving story for their enjoyment. Isn't that what a good love story is supposed to be ?
Let's all hope the best for Arvi as they write the final scenes.

Who can forget these scenes where ArVI were still in their original form..this is a small remembeance of Asha nd RD's best scenes for me..
1) Zindagi aise jee nahin jaathi, purvvi ! Use paane ki chaahath honi chaahiye
2) the temple scene before purvi's confesion-airport scene
3) The whole episode of "Aapki Purvi ko iss Arjun hi lekar jayegaa"
4) the chawl scene - "aisa hi hoga ", by Purvi, when she assures an uncertain Arjun
5) Purvi brings dinner for Arjun in the chawl and then the trellis scene - can nvr forget that
6) evey word of that scene, in rain, when Arjun tries to convince Purvi , before Archana sees them
7) ofcourse, both of their declarations
8) dahi handi alley scene
9) Main tumhe raat ko yahaan kaise rehhe deti? - After Purvi bails him out of jail
10) arjun nd purvi bangle scene
11) Arjun's stunned look when he sees Purvi on their engmt ceremony
12) the motorcycle conversation in the chawl and the way they part at the end.. We used to go raptures on that.. LOL !
13) Arjun gives Purvi the gold bangles at wrk
14) ofcourse, how can I forge, the shiv raatri scenes
And many more ...

On the flip side, I just remembered something after reading what i wrote here..:) i was told once on this forum, that something I wrote once made them think that my mind is still in the teenage mills & Boon era..lol !! That i think is a compliment for me !! I am a mom with kids and if I can still feel and appreciate a good romance, WTH, Good for me ... I thank that person for that..:)

Wow so it's finally confirmed. I must say it was amazing to see ArVi while it lasted and that was only possible because of Asha and Rithvik, their portrayal of ArVi was beyond amazing, and I can't thank them enough for giving us ArVi, I had never loved a Jodi as much as I loved ArVi, the chemistry, passion and intense love they had for each other was so awesome to watch, and for me it's coming to an end with these two leaving as I won't be able to watch anyone else as ArVi, thanks AshVik and PR for ArVi. I want to wish AshVik the best in all their future endeavors, you guys will be amazing wherever you go and I can't wait to watch you guys in another show, love you two lovebirds. Keep rocking AshVik!!!
