Sushant Singh Rajput (Kai Po Che)

Sushant Singh Rajput has engineered his career with a single-minded devotion. His rise to the top are the stuff of dream stories " it was instant fame as Manav Deshmukh in Ekta Kapoor's soap Pavitra Rishta or as Ishaan in Abhishek Kapoor's Kai Po Che. For his role in the latter, based on Chetan Bhagat's novel The Three Mistakes of My Life, Rajput walked away with the coveted Screen trophy as the Best Promising Newcomer.
Brought up in a family of four sisters, being the only son, Rajput was set to make a career as an engineer, when he decided to abandon a career fraught with metal and concrete in favour of the fine arts. As a student of Shiamak Davar's Institute of Performing Arts, he travelled across the country and performed at the 2006 Commonwealth Games.
As part of Nadira Babbar's troupe Ekjute, Rajput was spotted by the casting director of Balaji Telefilms and offered a role as Preet Juneja in Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil, after which, there was no looking back for the young lad.
