Oh yes, the kids got the worst of it. I mean Ovi, Purvi, and Arjun were all adults in their mess and took their own actions as they pleased.
But the poor kids, both Pia and Pari, got the worst part of the deal and without any fault of their own.
Actually, I think this is the underlying theme of Pavitra Rishta- how the actions of parents spoil the lives of their kids.
Sulo for a long time encouraged Archana to continue being Punni's nanny and do the household work rather than sending her to school after their financial conditions got better. Archana lacked self confidence and barely had a voice in the early episodes of PR. Sulo also pretty much dominated every aspect of Archu's life, never letting her think on her own. And when she finally started thinking on her own, Sulo supported her on all the wrong things (like court case against Manav) D-uh!đĄ
Savita too fleeced Manav a lot financially during early days of PR, created trouble in his marriage, abused Archana- all of these had varying repurcurssions in PR which created havoc in Manav's life. Also her constant rants of 'who will marry my Vandu' led to Vandu going and getting married to the jerk Ajit who had tried to rape her.𤢠She never brought Vandu back home inspite of witnessing the domestic abuse first hand at Vandu's place.
Still these two were better than what we got after that.
Archana-Manav proved to be the most horrible parents in the history of TV. I don't wish to write in detail, you guys know it all. All their children were badly affected by their decisions- they still continue to be affected, Pia has lived without a family all these years and Ovi thinks her family hates her.
Pia and Pari on the other hand, suffered bcos of the love-triangle-cum mess of their parents.
PR is a dhabba on parenting. The only parent I like in PR right now is Rushali (to some extent). She seems nice- concerned about Naren, aware of activities of her other son, and does not disrespect Ankita or create trouble for her. Only problem is that she is too scared of Sunanda.
