Yes, let's not go there. Because we know all of Purvi's sins will be whitewashed while Ovi is seen as eternally evil.
And let's stop with the "making others do things" parade. No one can make anyone do anything. Ovi can't make Arjun or Purvi do anything. Purvi can't make Ovi do anything. Everyone is responsible for their own actions. Purvi CHOSE to go to Mumbai considering how she shamelessly defied her mother's so-called "sanskaars" and wanted to portray herself as "mahaan". Similarly, it's not that Ovi is "unable" to tell the truth about her baby. She CHOSE to hide the truth from Sperminator Arjun and I for one am glad that the father doesn't know because the baby and Ovi deserve better than the kind of person Sperminator Arjun has been.
How on earth did Ovi "cast aside Pari like a rag doll?" Pari's biological parents are alive and well enough to take care of her. She gave her back to her parents. If she had refused to let go of Pari, then the same people who call her horrible names for not wanting to keep Pari will still continue to hate for "keeping Arvi's pyar ki nishani" away from them only because she is Ovi.
If anything, I'd say Purvi is the one who cast aside Pari like a rag doll since the day she was born and continues to do so today. She's always too busy interfering in other people's matters and providing her unneeded advice to ever properly care for that baby. Hell, the thought of putting her child's life at risk didn't even cross her mind when she harboured her criminal brother.
Of course, you are absolutely right, it is all about choice.
Purvi chose to give into Ovi's blackmail and give up Arjun for the sake of her Aai's happiness. Purvi chose to leave Mumbai as she was a victim of Ovi's tantrums and slapfests. Purvi chose to heed her parents' plea and force Onir to Mumbai to treat Ovi and her unborn child. Purvi chose to ask Arjun to be a proper husband to Ovi and give Ovi that physical relationship that Ovi publicly complained she didn't have with Arjun. Purvi chose to give up Pari so Ovi could remain happily married to Arjun. Purvi chose to convince Arjun to stay married to Ovi and to convince Ovi against the divorce.
Ovi, on the other hand, chose to refuse to believe that Arjun loved Purvi. Ovi chose to offer a buy out to Purvi with a blank check like Arjun was a commodity. Ovi chose to blackmail Purvi placing her mother's happiness at stake in return for Arjun. Ovi chose to humiliate herself by washing her dirty marital linen in public. Ovi chose to be miserable even after Purvi left town. Ovi chose to drink during pregnancy and endanger her health as well as the unborn's. Ovi chose to cast aside Pari after discovering who the infant's mother was. Ovi chose to sleep with Arjun the night before she left him AFTER she had decided on the divorce. Ovi chose to drink again, in Canada during her second pregnancy. Ovi chose to leave her
premature baby with a friend and an unknown nurse and travel to India. Ovi chose to stay in Mumbai for an extended period of time leaving her sick baby in Canada.
Yes, it is all about choice, the right choice and the wrong one. That is what life is about, choice and
judgement.
Thanks for responding to my post, do appreciate your viewpoint. PR to me lost its charm a while ago, it is only time pass now as the story has gotten trashier with one guy forced to play musical chairs with two
sisters and the Soham story gone south, will continue to watch it out of habit as Ekta parades the vagaries of human nature, the basest of them, for our entertainment.
