The technological advances in the serial seem to be happening at a completely different pace than they are on the planet called the earth.

When the serial was in its early phases, when Varsha was working for Satish's brother-in-law, things such as cell phones and power point presentations on computer - everything that was available in 2009-2010 was incorporated (if I remember correctly, there was even a New Year party with 2009 banner - but I can't swear by it.) After that, the whole dragging of Manav-Archana separation happened (during which Archana was supposed to have gone away for some kind of training for a year). Then she had a miscarriage and then she had Soham who was two years of age when Ovi-Teju were born and then the kidnapping of Soham by Varsha happened. Taking into account all that happened, the time of the mishap and Manav's moving to Canada could not have been earlier than 2012 - Then Manav and the family were in Canada for 18 years - making their time of return 2030 by our cycle of years.

So, according to our time sense, everything after Manav and company came back is actually taking place in the future. But the technology has not advanced to what one could expect in the future - the only thing extra you see now is skype conversations. Go figure that one out!!!!

I have been sooo confused by the time line in this serial as by many other things.
