I am an Ovi fan. I never denied that. However, I am NOT blind to her mistakes. Ovi used TERRIBLE judgement in proposing the marriage deal! She was NOT right for doing that.
I agree that Ovi got the ball rolling. However, it was ARJUN and PURVI who kept the ball rolling and rolling. Purvi is a pathological liar. Whenever some trouble or challenge arises, her first resort is to ALWAYS lie first.
NOBODY held a gun a to Purvi's head. Ovi did NOT FORCE either Arjun and Purvi. Also, it was ultimately Purvi who went and convinced Arjun. I honestly do not believe that if Ovi went to Arjun that he would have agreed.
However, the worst trait of Purvi IMO is that she does not accept her mistakes and is extremely dishonest. This is where Ovi is different. Ovi is honest. She is straightforward and ACCEPTS her mistakes and rectified for them. I have yet to see Purvi apologize for swapping babies and taking away Ovi's right to grieve for her dead baby.
I like Ovi because she is a dynamic character who has learned from her mistakes and GROWN from it. Purvi, on the other hand, I feel is a one-dimensional character. Her first instinct it to lie, lie more to cover up the original lie, devise a "grand" scheme to cover up her mountain of lies (e.g. marry Onir, swap babies to hide that she betrayed Archana's "sanskaars"), and finally to spill crocodile tears when the lie blows up in her face (and it always does!).
